Together, we can shape the future.Job Description:Are you an experienced operations leader ready to take ownership of industrial sites and drive performance, safety, and team development? At Sibelco, the Manager Operations Laminoria & Arija plays a key role within the cluster, ensuring that production, maintenance, and operational activities run efficiently, safely, and in line with business objectives.In this role, you will lead a team of around 10 people across production and maintenance, within a cluster of approximately 60 employees. You will operate in a cooperative and open environment that values teamwork, respect, and accountability for performance and P&L. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for delivering strong operational results, meeting budget and KPIs, and ensuring the continuity and development of mining and processing activities across Laminoria and Arija.As Manager Operations Laminoria & Arija, you will organize, optimize and continually improve the operational, production and maintenance activities, taking into account the Sibelco Values and policies. You will drive the operational organization to maintain and develop the mines, quarries and processing plants of the Cluster while ensuring safety, quality, cost efficiency and long-term sustainability.Your Impact in this RoleAs Manager Operations, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Safety LeadershipEnsures Compliance with Safety Standards as required by law and company policyEnsures the safety of plant personnel. Leads and supports the safety program and all safety efforts. Conducts or ensures safety training is completedLead & Manage Production ProcessManages and directs production operations and functionsEnsures the quality and regulatory compliance of all products manufactured and shipped from the plant while meeting sales customer needs and expectationsLeverages production employees to achieve production goals while maintaining product quality and compliance requirementsIdentifies and initiates the principles and techniques of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement to improve quality, eliminate waste, decrease costs, and improve productivityIdentifies and plans the physical condition of all facilities through regular upkeep and CAPEXCompletes budgetary plans and cost control activities and reportingProduct ManagementAssure the Product Management for all sites within the ClusterMonitor and reduce stock of by-products/wastesUpdate specifications and data sheets of productsReview number of itemsActive participation to the scheduling and performance meetingsTraining and coaching of sales forceSupport to salesSupport to sourcing, especially to anticipate sourcing issues. Monitor stock of input raw materialsBudget ManagementManage production & maintenance OPEX and CAPEX budgetsContinuous ImprovementImplement, maintain and improve with his/her team excellent performing production processesSite LeadershipDirects, oversees and/or assists with all recruiting, training, personnel development, and optimum functioning of the sites in the clusterDevelops supervisors and operators by coaching, training, properly delegating responsibility and emphasizing accountability for assigned responsibilitiesAudits, solves problems, improves plant operations and facilitates investigating and correcting actions associated with quality and safety events.
