Job Description Welder and Fabricator Pay: 23/hr Shift: 5AM - 3:30PM OT is Available Responsibilities • Design, fabricates, joins, and/or repairs equipment, fixtures and various types of metal objects and structures using MIG, TIG, Inner shield, and Flux-cored Arc Welding (Dual shield) techniques., • 99% of what they do is Carbon Steel - very thick gauge and even some aluminum and stainless., • Determines layout of weld parts according to drawings and company/customer requirements., • Executes welds in all positions including from underneath, to the side, in a variety of shapes such as in a tube, and more., • Assists during welding of components in areas of expertise., • Assists with design and set-up of work centers., • Completes required weld documentation including line check sheets, and material movement paperwork. Essential Skills • Technical / vocational / or military training or related experience is a PLUS but not required., • 2+ years of welding experience with at least one (1) years of experience in a similar environment., • Capable of meeting AWS D1.1 requirements., • Knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, Inner shield, and Flux-cored Arc Welding (Dual shield); aluminum MIG is a plus., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints., • Demonstrate ability to use all appropriate tools, measuring devices, forklifts, cranes, and fixtures required. Work Environment This position is based in a large industrial manufacturing environment designed to support high-volume fabrication and welding work. The main work area is air conditioned, providing a comfortable indoor setting for most tasks, while some duties may require going outside to the yard for materials in a non-air-conditioned space. You will work around heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and fabrication fixtures, and regularly handle thick-gauge carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. The environment emphasizes safety, proper use of tools and measuring devices, and adherence to established procedures and documentation practices. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $24.66/hr.
