Job DescriptionJob Title: Material HandlerJob Description This hands-on Material Handler role supports a busy warehouse and production printing operation by combining order picking, material handling, and light production support. You will pick and stage orders, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, help unload containers by hand, maintain a clean and organized facility, and cover breaks on production printing presses as needed. This position suits someone dependable, safety-minded, and detail-oriented who enjoys variety in their day and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly. Responsibilities • Pick and stage warehouse orders daily with high accuracy and attention to detail., • Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently., • Unload inbound containers by hand, including lifting and moving materials up to 50 lbs., • Support shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks, verifying counts, and organizing inventory., • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and production area through regular housekeeping tasks., • Assist with general production duties and provide break coverage on production printing presses., • Handle packaging, picking, packing, and palletizing materials according to established procedures., • Use basic computer systems, including iPads and warehouse or production software, to track inventory and orders., • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safety-focused culture in the warehouse and manufacturing areas., • Collaborate with team members across warehouse, production, and shipping functions to keep operations running smoothly., • Adapt to changing priorities and step into different tasks as needed throughout the day.Essential Skills, • At least 1+ years of manufacturing experience., • At least 1+ years of material handling or similar experience., • Proven sit-down forklift operating experience and ability., • Experience with warehouse operations such as picking, packing, shipping, and receiving., • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly., • Comfort working in a warehouse and manufacturing environment., • Basic computer literacy, including the ability to use an iPad and learn new software systems., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory and orders., • Dependable, safety-minded work habits and the ability to follow procedures., • Positive, engaging attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with both sit-down and stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks., • Background in general production, machine operating, or supporting production equipment., • Familiarity with warehouse inventory processes and basic inventory control., • Experience in packaging, order picking, and general warehouse duties., • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team., • Strong organizational skills and pride in maintaining a clean, orderly workspace., • Comfort working in a non-climate-regulated environment., • Interest in environmentally friendly products and sustainable operations.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing and warehousing facility that supports production printing operations. The environment is non-climate regulated, with dock doors open for airflow and fans used to improve ventilation. You will work around forklifts, pallet jacks, production presses, and other material handling and packaging equipment. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., providing a consistent first-shift workday with a slightly later start. The setting is active and hands-on, with regular movement, lifting, and collaboration across warehouse, shipping, and production areas. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
