"Join us in our mission to serve the poorest of the poor." \n \n \n Overall Responsibility \n :The Legacy and Planned Giving Advisor is responsible for building and managing meaningful relationships with donors to secure planned and deferred charitable gifts that advance Food For The Poor's long-term mission and financial sustainability. Through strategic donor engagement, thoughtful stewardship, and consultative gift planning, the Advisor helps individuals create lasting philanthropic legacies while aligning their charitable goals with the organization's mission \n \n . \n Managing an assigned portfolio of donors and prospects, this role develops and executes individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies, facilitates complex planned gift arrangements, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to integrate legacy giving into Food For The Poor's overall fundraising strategy. or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experi \n ence.Professional certifications such as CFRE, CAP®, CFP®, JD, or other planned giving credentials are prefe \n \n rred. \n Exper \n\n • ience:Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in planned giving, major gifts, charitable estate planning, wealth management, financial services, or related philanthropic fundra\n, • ising.Demonstrated success cultivating, soliciting, and closing planned gifts and other complex charitable\n, • gifts.Experience working collaboratively with attorneys, accountants, financial planners, trust officers, and other professional adv\n, • isors.Experience managing donor portfolios and utilizing donor relationship management (CRM) sy\n, • stems.Experience working within a Christian, faith-based, or mission-driven nonprofit organization is pref\n\n \n erred. \n Skills and Compet \n\n • encies:Strong knowledge of planned giving vehicles, estate planning principles, charitable gift planning strategies, and applicable tax regul\n, • ations.Excellent relationship-building, donor stewardship, and consultative communication\n, • skills.Ability to communicate complex financial and legal concepts in a clear, donor-focused\n, • manner.Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet dea\n, • dlines.Ability to build collaborative relationships with donors, professional advisors, and internal stakeh\n, • olders.High level of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and commitment to maintaining donor confident\n, • iality.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and donor relationship management (CRM) s\n, • ystems.Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as re\n, • quired.Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Christian values, mission, and ministry of Food For The Poor, conducting responsibilities with integrity, compassion, stewardship, and respect for those\n\n served.
