Job DescriptionJob Title: Health and Safety ManagerJob Description We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and oversee all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives across our corporate operations, manufacturing environments, and field-based construction and installation projects. This position plays a critical role in promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company standards, and client-specific requirements. The Health & Safety Manager will work closely with executive leadership, project managers, manufacturing personnel, and field crews to reduce risk, improve safety performance, and support the successful execution of projects across multiple locations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, collaborative, and comfortable operating in both office and field environments. This individual will serve as a trusted safety resource who can effectively influence teams, conduct training, and drive continuous improvement throughout the organization. Responsibilities • Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide health and safety policies, procedures, and programs., • Lead safety initiatives that support both internal operations and external project sites., • Promote a culture of safety through employee engagement, training, and proactive risk management., • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, state and local regulations, and client-specific safety requirements., • Oversee jobsite health and safety activities for construction and installation projects., • Perform regular site visits, safety inspections, audits, and field observations., • Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field personnel to integrate safety into project planning and execution., • Review and support site-specific safety plans, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and pre-task planning activities., • Participate in project kickoff meetings and ongoing project reviews to ensure safety expectations are communicated and maintained., • Support safety initiatives within manufacturing, warehouse, and plant environments., • Evaluate workplace conditions and work practices to identify hazards and ensure compliance., • Develop corrective action plans and track improvements to reduce workplace incidents and exposures., • Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all operations., • Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns to identify root causes and implement corrective actions., • Maintain OSHA logs, training records, safety metrics, and required compliance documentation., • Ensure company compliance with regulatory requirements, permitting requirements, and contractor safety programs., • Assist with client safety audits and compliance reviews., • Deliver safety training programs for employees, supervisors, contractors, and field personnel., • Lead toolbox talks, site safety meetings, and ongoing safety awareness initiatives., • Provide coaching and guidance on safe work practices and regulatory compliance., • Serve as the company's subject matter expert on health and safety matters.Essential Skills, • OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 Certification required., • 5+ years of health and safety experience in construction, manufacturing, industrial, utility, or related environments., • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, incident investigation, and risk assessment methodologies., • Experience developing and implementing company-wide safety programs., • Experience conducting jobsite audits, inspections, and field safety evaluations., • Ability to lead training programs and effectively communicate with both field and office personnel., • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software systems., • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Construction Management, or a related field., • OSHA 30, CHST, CSP, ASP, or other professional safety certifications., • Experience supporting construction, utility, manufacturing, or industrial operations., • Knowledge of contractor management programs and client-specific safety requirements., • Experience with permitting, environmental compliance, and regulatory reporting., • First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification is a plus.Work Environment This role is based in a new manufacturing facility located in Mesa, AZ. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with hours to be determined. The position involves primarily local travel. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $130000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
