Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Technician – Supply StoreJob Description The Warehouse Technician supports daily warehouse operations by safely handling inbound and outbound shipments, operating material handling equipment including forklifts, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role works a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and involves working at heights of 6 feet or more while ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. Responsibilities • Use material handling equipment to load and unload inbound and outbound shipments, including truck deliveries and small parcel carriers such as UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, and DHL., • Safely operate assigned material handling equipment, including forklifts, in accordance with company procedures and safety standards., • Inspect all material handling equipment before use, verify it is in safe operating condition, and immediately report any defects, accidents, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor., • Stock and arrange products in warehouse racks to support efficient inventory turns and easy access to materials., • Perform cycle counts to determine accurate material quantities and maintain reliable inventory levels., • Receive materials into inventory, verify part numbers and quantities, and record all required data to ensure accurate electronic records of receipts, inventory, and locations., • Move materials between designated locations in the warehouse and accurately locate and pick materials to and from warehouse locations as required., • Identify and resolve discrepancies related to material quantities, part numbers, and inventory records., • Properly locate parts on pallets, ensuring loads are stable, pallet heights are appropriate, and racking, materials, and equipment remain undamaged., • Keep aisles clear of materials and maintain safe, unobstructed pathways throughout the warehouse., • Consistently practice safe material handling techniques to protect people, products, and equipment., • Perform housekeeping tasks as assigned to keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards., • Work overtime and weekends as needed to support operational demands and ensure timely processing of shipments., • Adhere to all safety-sensitive role requirements and follow company policies related to safe work practices.Essential Skills, • Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience., • Proficiency in operating material handling equipment, including forklifts, in a warehouse environment., • Ability to safely work at heights of 6 feet or more., • Strong attention to detail for verifying part numbers, quantities, and inventory data., • Capability to perform accurate cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy., • Ability to load and unload trucks and handle inbound and outbound shipments efficiently., • Commitment to following safety procedures and reporting accidents or unsafe conditions., • Willingness and flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required., • Basic familiarity with electronic or computerized inventory record-keeping.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment., • Comfort using material handling equipment beyond forklifts, as needed., • Ability to organize and arrange products to optimize warehouse space and inventory turns., • Strong problem-solving skills for resolving discrepancies in material quantities and part numbers., • Capability to maintain good housekeeping standards in work areas., • Reliability and punctuality in adhering to a set Monday through Friday schedule.Why Work Here?
