Job Description Job Title: CNC Press Brake Operator – Production Job Description A busy manufacturing machine shop that produces refrigeration systems for hotels, casinos, and restaurants is seeking a CNC Press Brake Operator to set up, program, and operate Accurpress CNC press brake machines. In this role, you fabricate precision stainless steel and copper sheet metal components according to engineering drawings and production specifications while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Responsibilities • Set up, program, and operate Accurpress CNC press brake machines to bend, form, and fabricate stainless steel and copper components according to engineering drawings and production specifications., • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to ensure accurate and consistent part production., • Select appropriate tooling, dies, and machine parameters based on material type, thickness, and specific job requirements., • Perform machine setup adjustments and make program modifications as needed to maintain part quality, dimensional accuracy, and production efficiency., • Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, angle gauges, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools to verify conformance to specifications., • Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections while adhering to established quality standards and documentation requirements., • Troubleshoot equipment and production issues to reduce downtime, minimize material waste, and maintain workflow., • Work with a variety of materials, primarily stainless steel, with occasional copper and other sheet metal fabrication projects., • Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation for jobs, inspections, and material usage., • Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and housekeeping requirements to ensure a clean and safe work area., • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules, customer deadlines, and daily output goals., • Assist with material handling, including moving, staging, and organizing raw materials and finished parts., • Support inventory organization and other fabrication-related duties as needed, including basic assembly, brazing, soldering, welding, and general fabrication tasks when appropriate. Essential Skills • 2+ years of CNC press brake experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment., • Experience operating Accurpress or similar CNC press brake equipment., • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions., • Experience working with stainless steel, copper, or other sheet metal fabrication processes., • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication techniques, and shop mathematics., • Hands-on experience using precision measuring instruments and quality inspection tools such as calipers, angle gauges, and tape measures., • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment and production issues., • Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a production environment., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods throughout the shift., • Reliable work habits, strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Completion of NTMA or similar technical schooling in machining, metal fabrication, or related disciplines is welcomed, including entry-level candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and motivation to learn., • Experience with brazing, soldering, and welding in a production or fabrication setting., • Experience in assembly and general fabrication of sheet metal components., • Familiarity with refrigeration unit manufacturing or similar mechanical assemblies., • Comfort working with stainless steel and copper materials in both fabrication and finishing processes., • Ability to adapt to changing production priorities while maintaining quality and safety., • Strong communication skills to collaborate with supervisors and team members on production goals and process improvements. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., providing a consistent daytime shift in a production environment. You work primarily with Accurpress CNC press brake machines and other fabrication tools, handling stainless steel and copper sheet metal. The shop setting involves standing for most of the shift, lifting materials up to 50 pounds, and working around machinery and fabrication equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and organized workstations. Protective work attire suitable for a fabrication shop, including appropriate footwear and safety gear, is expected to ensure a safe and efficient operation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
