You may be a great fit if you: • Have previous experience working in a licensed child care center, preschool, school, or early childhood program, • Enjoy building meaningful relationships with children and families, • Can confidently manage classroom routines and transitions, • Create learning experiences that are playful, intentional, and developmentally appropriate, • Communicate professionally and work well as part of a team, • Arrive on time, maintain dependable attendance, and follow through on responsibilities, • Remain calm, positive, and solution-focused during challenging moments, • Are willing to learn, accept feedback, and continue growing professionally, • Believe children deserve to be treated with kindness, respect, and patience Key Responsibilities Depending on the position, responsibilities may include: • Providing attentive supervision and maintaining a safe classroom environment, • Planning and leading age-appropriate learning activities, • Supporting children’s social, emotional, physical, and academic development, • Following classroom schedules, lesson plans, and center procedures, • Creating welcoming, organized, and engaging learning spaces, • Communicating positively with families and team members, • Assisting with meals, diapering, toileting, rest time, and daily care routines, • Maintaining accurate classroom documentation, • Supporting other classrooms when staffing or enrollment needs change, • Following Tennessee child care licensing requirements and Red Barn policies, • Modeling our expectations of being Safe, Kind, Respectful, and Responsible Preferred Qualifications • Previous early childhood education or child care experience, • Experience as a lead teacher, assistant teacher, floater, or support educator, • CDA, TECTA training, associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or related coursework is preferred for lead positions, • Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices, • Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus, • Ability to pass all required background checks, • Ability to meet the physical demands of working with young children, • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Exceptional candidates without formal credentials may still be considered for assistant, flex, or support positions when they demonstrate strong experience, professionalism, and a willingness to complete required training.
