Job Description Costy’s Energy Services is hiring a Casing Manager to lead all operations within our Casing Division. This is the senior leadership position within the business unit and is responsible for its overall safety, personnel, equipment, customer relationships, operational performance, and financial administration. The Casing Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations and serves as the number-one authority within the Casing Division. The Manager is supported by a Casing Field Supervisor who assists with field leadership, crew oversight, training, and operational execution. Role Overview The Casing Manager is responsible for the complete day-to-day management and performance of the Casing Division. This position requires an experienced oil and gas leader who can effectively manage employees, customers, equipment, maintenance, scheduling, dispatch, ticketing, invoicing, and payroll. The successful candidate must be able to anticipate operational needs, proactively plan and schedule work, clearly communicate those plans to the team, and verify that expectations and responsibilities are understood. Although this is primarily a management position, the Casing Manager must possess strong working knowledge of casing-running operations and equipment. The Manager must be capable of providing sound operational direction, resolving field issues, and supporting crews when necessary. Key Responsibilities Business Unit Leadership • Oversee and manage all Casing Division operations., • Maintain accountability for the division’s safety, service quality, efficiency, workforce, equipment, customer satisfaction, and financial performance., • Lead and direct the Casing Field Supervisor and all other employees within the business unit., • Establish clear expectations and hold all direct and indirect reports accountable for performance., • Communicate operational plans, priorities, and expectations clearly to the team and verify understanding., • Coach, mentor, and develop employees to improve individual and team performance., • Promote a results-oriented culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement., • Work both autonomously and collaboratively with the Director of Operations and other company leaders., • Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company and customer requirements. Operational Planning and Dispatch • Anticipate customer and operational needs and proactively plan upcoming work., • Coordinate and oversee the scheduling and dispatch of casing crews., • Ensure appropriately trained and qualified personnel are assigned to each job., • Confirm that personnel, equipment, tools, transportation, and job information are prepared before dispatch., • Communicate schedules and job plans to affected employees and verify that assignments are understood., • Monitor active field operations and respond promptly to scheduling, staffing, equipment, or customer issues., • Coordinate with the Casing Field Supervisor to ensure safe, efficient, and professional job execution., • Maintain strong working knowledge of casing-running processes and equipment, including:, • CRTs (casing rotating tools), • Torque Turn systems, • Provide operational guidance and troubleshooting support when field issues arise. Customer Relationships • Maintain consistent contact and professional relationships with all Casing Division customers., • Serve as the primary management-level contact for customer representatives., • Understand customer expectations, upcoming work, scheduling requirements, and service concerns., • Communicate proactively with customers regarding job planning, scheduling, personnel, equipment, and operational changes., • Address customer issues promptly and professionally., • Support customer retention and identify opportunities to expand the division’s work. Equipment, Maintenance, and Asset Management • Oversee all equipment and assets assigned to the Casing Division., • Direct maintenance personnel in the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of casing equipment., • Prioritize repairs based on operational needs and upcoming job requirements., • Ensure equipment is properly maintained, job-ready, safely operated, and appropriately assigned., • Maintain accountability for the condition, location, availability, and utilization of all business-unit assets., • Coordinate equipment purchases, replacements, and major repairs with senior management. Employee Management and Development • Evaluate the performance, competency, safety, efficiency, and professionalism of field employees., • Identify training needs and oversee the ongoing development of casing personnel., • Coach employees, recognize strong performance, address deficiencies, and enforce accountability., • Work with the Casing Field Supervisor to conduct field training and reinforce operating standards., • Ensure employees understand their responsibilities, performance expectations, and opportunities for improvement., • Participate in interviewing and hiring under the direction and with the assistance of the Head of Workforce and HR., • Assist with workforce planning, staffing levels, promotions, corrective action, and employee retention. Administrative and Financial Responsibilities • Ensure all job tickets are completed accurately, approved, and submitted on time., • Maintain responsibility for the accurate and timely invoicing of all Casing Division jobs., • Review job documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with customer requirements., • Oversee payroll management for the business unit, including reviewing and approving employee time., • Monitor operating costs, labor utilization, equipment expenses, and job performance., • Maintain accurate business-unit records and provide reports to the Director of Operations as required., • Ensure all administrative responsibilities are completed accurately and within established deadlines. Required Experience and Qualifications • Valid driver’s license., • Minimum of five years of oil and gas industry experience., • Minimum of three years of leadership or management experience., • Minimum of one year of direct casing experience., • Working knowledge of casing-running operations, CRTs, and Torque Turn equipment., • Mechanical understanding of casing equipment operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair., • Demonstrated ability to plan work, anticipate operational needs, and proactively schedule jobs., • Ability to clearly communicate plans, responsibilities, and expectations to a team and verify understanding., • Demonstrated ability to coach, train, develop, and hold employees accountable., • Ability to manage personnel, schedules, customers, equipment, and competing operational priorities., • Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively as part of a team., • Self-disciplined, dependable, and internally motivated., • Results-oriented with a strong continuous-improvement mindset., • Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Ability to manage ticketing, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative responsibilities accurately., • Willingness and ability to travel and stay overnight when required. Work Environment and Schedule • The Casing Division operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year., • The Casing Manager must remain available and responsive outside normal business hours to support continuous operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays., • The schedule varies based on operational requirements and customer demand., • Extended and irregular working hours may be required., • Periodic field work may be required in heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, and other demanding conditions., • Travel and overnight stays may be required depending on job locations and customer needs.
