The post holder will work as a key member of the senior leadership team, directly supporting the Chief Operating Officer to deliver sustained improvement in operational, clinical, and financial performance. The role will provide executive-level leadership across performance management, corporate delivery and transformation programmes. The post holder will be accountable for establishing a high-performance culture, leading complex improvement programmes, and ensuring delivery against national standards, regulatory requirements, and organisational priorities. The post holder will operate with a high degree of autonomy, influencing at Board and system level, and shaping organisational strategy through the use of insight, analysis and innovation. Hold overall accountability on behalf of the Chief Delivery Officer for effective use of performance frameworks to ensure robust oversight Drive the adoption of advanced performance management systems, leveraging data, benchmarking and predictive analytics to deliver improvement Drive recovery and improvement programmes where performance is challenged, ensuring sustainable delivery Ensure clear accountability frameworks are in place across all services Ensure performance delivery and improvement actions are informed by data insights Oversee development of modern, efficient and responsive support services aligned to organisational priorities Please refer to full job description attached • Proven track record of delivering sustained performance improvement at scale, • Ability to influence at Board and system level, • Expertise in data-driven decision making and performance management, • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving ability, • Evidence of leading organisation-wide cultural change, • Significant senior leadership experience within complex health or public sector organisations, • Extensive experience of leading large, complex transformation programmes, • Experience operating at system or regional level, • Strong financial acumen and experience managing substantial budgets Important Once sufficient applications have been received this vacancy may close early. Disclosure and Barring Checks (DBS) It is the policy of North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, that all successful candidates who are new to the Trust who require DBS clearance for the post they have been offered, are required to pay the cost for their DBS certificate. The method of payment for this is via salary deduction from your first month's pay on commencement with the Trust. The DBs check will be undertaken during the pre-employment check screening. New Starters – Probationary Period For any new employees commencing employment with North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, you will be subject to satisfactory completion of a 6 month probationary period. Please note that internal applications and individuals that are appointed to fixed term appointments of less than 6 months duration are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or a bank member of staff).
