If this role is of interest to you, you may be an experienced shift manager, or a senior team leader looking for your next step, then please apply now. \n The Job You’ll Do. \n\n • Effectively lead shift operations, ensuring resources are prioritised and allocated to meet operational requirements.\n, • Manage shift changes and handovers to maintain seamless operational continuity.\n, • Conduct initial Safety and Conduct investigations in line with company procedures.\n, • Carry out Return to Work meetings following employee absences.\n, • Conduct low-level conduct and absence management meetings.\n, • Ensure stock checks are completed accurately and on schedule.\n, • Make labour allocation decisions and maintain accurate absence records.\n, • Monitor and manage daily operational KPIs to achieve performance targets.\n, • Lead daily operational meetings to communicate priorities, performance, and key updates.\n, • Coordinate the ordering of PPE and workwear to maintain adequate stock levels.\n, • Promote 100% shift participation in Unsafe Situation Reporting to support a proactive safety culture.\n, • Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping across the operational area.\n, • Escalate out-of-hours operational, engineering, and SHE issues to the relevant managers as required.\n, • Work a rotating three-shift pattern, covering day, night, and back shifts to support 24/7 operations.\n\n About You; \n\n • Experience managing a team within an engineering/manufacturing environment\n, • Educated to GCSE level or above\n, • Additional Management qualifications are desirable but not required (IOSH, NVQ, NEBOSH, LEAN etc.)\n, • Committed to health & safety\n, • Act as a positive role model and set a good example\n, • Possesses a can-do positive attitude with a drive to succeed and motivate others\n, • Possesses excellent communication skills\n, • Remain calm under pressure\n
