SVQ Assessor Mechanical / Manufacturing / Electrical EngineeringOur client is seeking an experienced SVQ Assessor to support and assess candidates across Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Electrical Engineering disciplines.This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation focused on developing engineering talent across Scotland, working closely with employers, candidates, and industry stakeholders to deliver high-quality vocational qualifications.The Nitty Gritty:Permanent position35 hours per weekOpportunity to work closely with industry and engineering employersSupportive and collaborative working environmentVaried role combining assessment, candidate support, and stakeholder engagementThe Role:Manage and deliver an agreed caseload of SVQ candidatesAssess and support work-based learners across Engineering disciplinesBuild strong working relationships with employers, candidates, and external stakeholdersDevelop and manage individual assessment and learning plansCarry out workplace observations, reviews, and progress meetingsMonitor candidate attendance, progression, and achievement milestonesMaintain electronic portfolio systems in line with quality standardsProvide regular progress reporting to employers and internal teamsSupport internal verification and quality assurance processesContribute to standardisation activities and external verification visitsPromote a positive learning experience through effective coaching and feedbackEnsure all assessment activity complies with awarding body and regulatory requirementsRequired:Recent and relevant industry experience within Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Engineering environmentsPrevious experience delivering and assessing SVQ qualificationsD32/33, A1, L&D9DI or equivalent Assessor qualificationStrong understanding of SVQ assessment strategies and quality assurance standardsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to build positive relationships with candidates and employersStrong organisational and time management skillsConfident using ICT systems, e-portfolios, and Microsoft OfficeAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel as requiredDesirable:D34, V1, L&D11 or equivalent Internal Verifier qualificationExperience supporting internal verification and quality assurance activitiesExperience working with a range of engineering employers and apprenticesThe Details:Monday to Friday35 hours per weekField-based activity across Scotland with campus baseAutonomous role with strong stakeholder interactionOngoing professional development encouragedOpportunity to influence candidate success and industry developmentInterested?Please do not hesitate to call for a confidential chat with one of our experienced recruiters.MAA International Ltd are working with clients in the Central Belt of Scotland, supplying Permanent, Temporary and Contract staff.
