1. Team and Role Si desea saber un poco más sobre esta oportunidad, o está considerando presentar su candidatura, por favor, lea la siguiente información del puesto. If you have experience in product design, communication & storytelling skills, thrive in a dynamic startup environment, and are ready to take your career to the next level, we want to hear from you. We’re looking for a Product Designer who moves comfortably between analysis and execution, someone who turns insights into decisions, has real ownership, and is curious about AI. This role offers the opportunity to maintain and improve the Design System, run user tests, talk directly to our users, and co‑create with the team, with the chance to shape the next‑generation way of working. 1. What you’ll be doing Your day‑to‑day as a Product Designer Designing You’ll spend most of your day in Figma, crafting experiences for both clients and freelancers across the Shakers platform—on desktop, mobile, and sometimes tablet. If you have experience designing responsive layouts, that’s a big win—it’ll make your workflow smoother and more efficient. We always start by deeply understanding the design goals and constraints so every proposal aligns with the product vision. Running user tests You’ll test your designs with real users to see what works and what needs a second round. At Shakers, we don’t design blindly—we like to test early, listen, iterate, and make informed decisions. That’s why it’s important you feel comfortable sharing your work, talking to users and stakeholders, and adjusting quickly when things don’t quite land. Co‑creating with the team We don’t design in isolation or in waterfall mode. You’ll be an active part of the Product Trio (PM, Designer, Dev), helping shape solutions from day one. The more you’re involved in the discovery and definition phase, the smoother everything else will go. Maintaining and improving the Design System You’ll help keep our design system clean, up‑to‑date, and aligned with best practices—working closely with developers to make sure everything gets implemented properly. The best part? You won’t be alone in this. The team is very into design systems and eager to improve ours, so you’ll be joining forces with folks who love digging into components, patterns, and structure. Handoff & adoption Marking a Figma file as “done” isn’t where your job ends. Together with PMs, you’ll help prep clear, structured developer handoffs, design onboarding experiences for new features, support internal comms or email creatives, and check that what’s built matches your specs. Precision matters. Working with AI in your workflow Using AI tools (like Claude) as part of how you design, prototype and explore. It's not just about producing faster: it's about knowing when AI adds value and when it doesn't. Bonus (but actually important): Comfort in changing contexts + 360º vision At Shakers, you’ll rotate across squads over time—sometimes designing for talent (supply), other times for clients (demand). That means switching users, problems, and priorities. If you enjoy adapting to new contexts and seeing the product from every angle, you’ll fit right in. Experience in marketplaces or multi‑sided products Our “double commit” model means balancing two very different types of users with interconnected needs. If you’ve worked in marketplaces, you already know: designing isn’t just about making things look good—it’s about understanding how every decision impacts both sides. Comfort expressing yourself in Spanish and English We work in Spanish most of the time, but we’re growing internationally. Some tools, investor interactions, and key docs are already in English. If you can express your ideas clearly in both languages, that’s awesome. But don’t worry—English isn’t a barrier here. The whole team is actively leveling up, and what really matters is your willingness to learn and collaborate in both contexts. 1. What we’re looking for You’re a great fit if you… Experience in fast‑changing environments We love people who thrive in (the good kind of) chaos. If you’ve been part of early‑stage product launches—especially in Series A startups—and rolled up your sleeves to help take a product to market, this might be your place. Bonus points if you’ve worked at startups we recognize and can walk us through how design helped drive real success. Collaboration in a techie world We genuinely enjoy working as a team—sharing, questioning, building, and celebrating together. If you’re the kind of designer who loves working side‑by‑side with PMs, devs, and data folks, you’ll feel right at home. That’s why we’re looking for someone who doesn’t just speak the language of design, but also understands the rhythm of product, tech, and analytics. Real Product Design skills We’re looking for someone who blends UI, UX, and strategic thinking. You should feel comfortable crafting beautiful, functional interfaces and building solid, user‑centered experiences. Prototyping, testing fast, validating ideas with real users—that’s our way of working. Critical thinking & your own criteria You don’t just execute; you question, argue your decisions and bring a clear point of view on how great product design gets done. You know how to defend the why behind your choices, and you’re not afraid to challenge an idea. You combine analysis and execution You like digging into data and understanding why something works, but you also know how to bring it to the canvas. Metrics nobody actions aren't enough. Interest in tools like Amplitude or Clarity is a plus. Real autonomy & resolutiveness You don’t wait to be pushed to deliver, and when you’re blocked you find a way to move forward instead of stopping. Team mentality, not solo superstar If you’re great at something you’ll own it and share it, so the whole team grows. Spotting “this is good, it can help the team” and passing it on is exactly the energy we want. Comfortable talking to users You’re at ease speaking directly with both freelancers and clients, and you respect everyone's time. Curiosity for new tech You try new things—a process, an animation, a fresh approach—and explore through design, not just deliver with it. We’re flexible, but our Product heart beats in Valencia Our team is split between Valencia and Madrid with a remote‑first mindset, but the core of Product lives in Valencia, where collaboration happens naturally. Ideally you’re based in Valencia (happy to travel to Madrid when needed) or in Madrid (happy to come to Valencia). Either way, remote collaboration across both hubs is part of the game. Communication & storytelling skills Designing well is just one part of the job. We need someone who can tell the story behind the design—clearly, visually, and verbally. Whether it’s presenting your work, organizing your Figma files so others don’t get lost, or handing things off smoothly to developers, you should be as good at explaining the why as you are at crafting the what. 1.
