Kyoto Group aims to revolutionise industrial process heat and reduce CO2 emissions. /p h3About the role /h3 pAs a Process Engineer at Kyoto, you'll lead process engineering activities across our thermal energy storage projects, taking ownership of process design from concept through commissioning. You'll ensure engineering quality, work closely with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers, and help deliver robust solutions that enable industrial decarbonization. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead process engineering activities across assigned projects, providing technical leadership within the engineering team. /li liDevelop and review process engineering deliverables, including PFDs, PIDs, process calculations, hydraulic calculations, heat and mass balances, and process specifications. /li liSupport the sizing and specification of process equipment, including heat exchangers, pumps, valves, tanks, and piping systems. /li liParticipate in HAZOPs, design reviews, and commissioning activities. /li liCollaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, and project managers throughout all project phases. /li liRepresent the company in technical discussions with vendors and subcontractors. /li liContribute to the continuous improvement of process design methodologies and operational performance. /li liEnsure effective management of change and maintain accurate, up-to-date engineering documentation. /li /ul h3Required skills experiences /h3 ul liBachelor's or Master's degree in chemical, Industrial, or Process Engineering, or equivalent. /li liExtensive experience in Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plants, particularly thermal storage and steam generation systems. /li liExperience with molten salt systems is highly desirable. /li liExperience applying API, ANSI, and ISO standards to the design and specification of process equipment. /li liFamiliarity with hydraulic calculation software (Pipe-Flo), heat and material balance software (Thermoflex), and/or process simulation software (Aspen HYSYS). /li liStrong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics. /li liFluent in written and spoken English. /li /ul pbAlternative industry backgrounds will also be considered: /b /p ul liChemical process plants. /li liOil Gas facilities. /li liPetrochemical, refinery, or other thermal process industries involving heat transfer equipment and complex process systems. /li liOn-site construction, commissioning, or operational experience. /li liWorking knowledge of Hazard Studies (HAZOP), LOPA, pressure relief standards, hazardous area classification, and control of major hazards. /li /ul h3Who are you? /h3 ul liProactive, self-motivated, and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership and initiative. /li liCollaborative and solution-oriented, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams and disciplines. /li liAdaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic, growing, and international environment. /li liStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with excellent attention to detail and quality. /li liExcellent communication and interpersonal skills. /li liAble to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to schedule. /li liCurious, resilient, and eager to learn and contribute to continuous improvement. /li liMotivated by accelerating the energy transition through industrial decarbonization. /li liEnthusiastic about being part of a growing team. /li liWilling and able to travel as required. /li /ul h3Joining Kyoto /h3 pWe’re a scaling startup, building something ambitious in the energy transition.
