Job Description Job Title: Welder Job Description This role involves performing high-quality welding and fabrication work using MIG and stick welding techniques, supporting production needs, and contributing to the manufacture and repair of industrial machinery components. You will read and interpret blueprints, prepare materials, and complete welds that meet production and quality standards in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities • Perform MIG and stick welding on a variety of materials, including stainless steel, in accordance with project specifications and quality standards., • Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to complete welding and fabrication tasks accurately., • Carry out fabrication work, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling metal components prior to welding., • Use grinding tools and other finishing equipment to clean, smooth, and finish welds and fabricated parts., • Inspect welds and fabricated components for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as needed., • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in safe and proper working condition., • Collaborate with the production team and provide hands-on support to the production line when additional help is needed., • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with welding equipment, tools, and industrial machinery., • Maintain a clean and organized work area, managing materials and tools efficiently to support continuous production., • Meet production schedules by completing assigned welding and fabrication tasks within required timeframes. Essential Skills • Proven experience with MIG welding in a production or industrial environment., • Proven experience with stick welding on various metals, including stainless steel., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to perform accurate welds and fabrication., • Strong fabrication skills, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling metal components., • Proficiency in using grinding tools and other finishing equipment to prepare and finish welds., • Solid understanding of welding techniques, weld quality standards, and basic inspection practices., • Willingness and flexibility to support the production line when additional assistance is required., • Ability to work safely around industrial machinery and follow established safety procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience working with stainless steel components in a fabrication or production setting., • High-volume or production welding environments., • Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance on welding tools., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality welds., • Effective communication skills to coordinate tasks with production and fabrication team members. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of City Of Industry, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
