Job Summary The Machine Attendant – Heavy supports daily production by trimming, inspecting, stamping, assembling, and preparing plastic products, including tubs, totes, waste containers, and related molded parts. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring strong attention to detail, safe work habits, and the ability to keep pace with machine cycles and production requirements. Essential Job Duties • Trim flash and remove sprue from molded parts according to quality standards., • Hot stamp, imprint, assemble, and finish products based on customer order specifications., • Inspect parts throughout the shift to ensure products meet quality requirements., • Document inspections on the In-Process Inspection Log every 30 minutes, or as directed., • Assist with first-piece inspections and notify the Supervisor or Lead of any non-conforming product or production concerns., • Make required adjustments in the Plantstar System to account for rejects or production activity, as instructed., • Complete all required documentation and product control processes accurately and on time., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift., • Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and company policies., • Assist with training new employees as needed., • Demonstrate regular, reliable attendance and punctuality, including being prepared to begin work at the scheduled start time and limiting unscheduled absences., • Perform other duties as assigned based on business and production needs. Education and Experience • Previous manufacturing experience preferred., • Prior injection molding experience is helpful, but not required., • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment is a plus. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work., • Ability to maintain a steady work pace equal to machine cycle time., • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions., • Ability to complete required production and quality documentation accurately., • Ability to work well with Leads, Supervisors, Quality, and other team members., • Dependable, safety-focused, and willing to learn., • Ability to adapt to changing production needs and priorities. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, production equipment, and varying temperatures. The employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time; use hands to handle, grip, and feel objects; reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, talk, see, and hear. The employee must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently. The employee must also be able to roll products weighing up to 450 pounds using proper equipment and safe work methods.
