Details\n \n • Acute care hospital setting with a Level III NICU on site\n, • L&D unit with 22 L&D beds, 2 OR suites for C-sections, 7 triage beds, and 34 postpartum beds\n, • Unit delivers approximately 8–12 births per day (roughly 2,900 per year)\n, • Patient population includes labor, C-sections, pre-eclampsia, IDM, and a variety of antepartum complications\n, • RNs are required to read their own fetal monitor strips using GE Corometrics EFM system\n, • RNs are required to titrate drips, including oxytocin and magnesium sulfate\n, • Surgical techs are present on the unit; charge nurse does not take an assignment\n, • OB APPs are in-house 24/7; anesthesia is in-house 24/7; neonatologist is NOT in-house 24/7\n, • EMR: Epic (experience required)\n, • Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)\n, • Every other weekend required\n, • On-call requirement: 18 hours of call per 6-week period, scheduled in 6-hour increments\n, • Floating to the postpartum unit is required\n, • 13-week contract\n Requirements\n \n, • Active CO RN license or Compact (NLC) license currently in hand — pending licenses will not be accepted\n, • Required certifications (all must be active, AHA-issued): BLS, ACLS, NRP\n, • Minimum 2 years of high-risk L&D experience required\n, • Ability to circulate C-sections in the OR is required\n, • Epic EMR experience required\n, • Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire\n, • Copy of driver's license required for consideration\n, • Candidate must reside at least 60 miles from the facility (driver's license used to confirm permanent address)\n Additional Information\n \n, • Responsibilities include caring for high-risk L&D patients, circulating C-sections in the OR, titrating drips, and floating to postpartum as needed\n, • Self-scheduling is used; travelers are expected to fill in where needed within reason\n, • Holiday coverage is required\n, • Hospital-provided scrubs\n, • Orientation consists of 1 shift on the unit; clinicians must be on-site in Colorado for the week of orientation even if initial modules are remote\n, • Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit or affiliated facility (including CHI and/or Dignity) within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-732344.
