    We are seeking two experienced Documentary Journalism Instructors to lead a 10-day youth documentary and journalism program in Brooklyn, NY in partnership with AmeriCorps and 9/11 Day. Instructors will mentor a cohort of high school students as they explore how the legacy of September 11 continues to inspire service, resilience, and civic engagement. Working alongside a professional production team, instructors will guide students through story development, interview preparation, ethical journalism practices, and on-camera reporting while supporting the production of original documentary segments. Responsibilities include: • Lead daily journalism and documentary storytelling activities., • Coach students in interviewing, research, and story development., • Support students during field interviews and on-location filming., • Provide constructive feedback on reporting and presentation skills., • Collaborate with production staff to ensure a positive and engaging learning environment., • Help supervise students throughout the program. Qualifications: • Experience in journalism, documentary filmmaking, broadcast news, digital media, or a related field., • Experience working with youth or in educational settings is preferred., • Strong communication, mentoring, and organizational skills., • Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced production environment., • Will have to complete a background check Program Details: • Dates: August 17-28, 2026 (Monday-Friday), • Hours: Approximately 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., • Location: Brooklyn, NY, • Compensation: $1,850 Flat Rate

    Pay: $32,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year Job description: The William Woodward Jr. Nursery School seeks a Part Time Preschool Lead Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year with a September 2026 start date: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am-12:30 pm The PreK classroom at Woodward is comprised of children between the ages of 3.9-5.0 who are preparing for entrance into Kindergarten the following fall. The School's mission is to provide a solid foundation for a lifetime love of learning by creating a collaborative learning community. We strive to create and maintain a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for all children, families, and staff. As a Lead PreK Teacher, you will have the opportunity to guide our oldest children and their families through their final year at Woodward. The Lead Teacher is responsible for the following: • Creating and implementing a rich and developmentally appropriate curriculum that will prepare our learners for Kindergarten and beyond., • Creating a positive and safe learning environment that fosters social/emotional growth and development., • Completing ongoing school reports when requested by the families and ongoing schools., • Collaboration with all other teaching staff, SEITs, and other outside service professionals and willingness to contribute to a small community of teachers and staff by assisting in some administrative duties and daily check-in meetings with other head teachers., • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including sending a weekly email to classroom parents with lesson plans as well as a monthly newsletter to the school community and some virtual slide presentations., • Able to create successful partnerships with parents to meet the needs of the children., • Warm and nurturing demeanor and a genuine respect and appreciation for small children., • Comfortable and experienced in caring for children turning 4-5 years old, including supporting separation and addressing other developmental needs with patience and empathy., • Conducting twice yearly parent-teacher conferences as well as maintaining regular communication with parents both in person (when possible) and via email., • Completing school reports twice a year., • Must possess the ability and willingness to differentiate instruction whenever needed., • Must possess the ability to use and maintain good classroom management., • Professional dedication and dependability., • Willingness to participate in Open House Events, Curriculum Night, Back to School activities, and staff meetings when necessary in addition to contracted work hours., • Knowledge of Reggio Emilia practice and Handwriting without Tears is a plus.     There are immediate openings for licensed clinical psychologists at the CUIMC Faculty Practice Organization (FPO) in Manhattan. The Department of Psychiatry is seeking psychologists assigned to work in the CUIMC FPO. These are full-time, clinical positions in the Columbia Day Program. Primary responsibilities involve conducting group therapy utilizing empirically supported treatments, diagnostic/intake evaluations of adults, and individual treatment planning and progress monitoring with patients. Candidates should have previous experience providing outpatient treatment and working with a multi-disciplinary team. Experience and training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) preferred. Candidates with additional experience in evidence-supported treatment delivery for trauma and/or substance use are desired. Ideal applicants will have experience, familiarity and comfort working with high-risk patients, as well as young adults and college students. Applicants should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well across disciplines and function effectively as part of a multi disciplinary team. The CUIMC FPO sees a mix of private pay and managed care patients and has a particular focus on serving the Columbia medical center community, among others. We prioritize evidence-based interventions and have an array of specialized programs to best serve our patients. All positions currently allow for hybrid work, and for this position in-person work will take place on the main medical center campus in Washington Heights.
