Job DescriptionJob Title: Shipping AssociateJob Description The Shipping Associate supports daily warehouse operations by accurately pulling products for production, preparing outbound shipments, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. This role involves operating a sit-down forklift, handling shipping and receiving tasks, communicating with customers via email, and managing warehouse inventory using computer systems and RF scanners. Responsibilities • Pull products and materials accurately and efficiently to support the production team., • Load trucks safely and correctly, ensuring all products are secured and documented., • Prepare and process UPS orders, including packaging, labeling, and documentation., • Perform shipping and receiving activities, including checking in materials and verifying quantities., • Use RF scanners to track inventory movement and maintain accurate warehouse records., • Communicate with customers via email regarding shipping details, order status, and related inquiries., • Perform data entry to update inventory systems, shipping information, and order records., • Pack and pick orders according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality., • Handle materials throughout the warehouse using a sit-down forklift and other equipment as needed., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by regularly cleaning and organizing work areas., • Collaborate with team members and production staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.Essential Skills, • Strong sit-down forklift experience with at least 5+ years of hands-on operation., • Experience in shipping and receiving within a warehouse or industrial environment., • Proficiency using RF scanners for inventory tracking and order processing., • Ability to perform packing, picking, and general material handling tasks., • Computer skills, including data entry and basic use of Microsoft Office., • Ability to communicate professionally via email with customers and internal teams., • Warehouse inventory experience, including tracking, organizing, and maintaining stock levels., • Ability to safely handle physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing materials.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Comfort using email and other basic computer applications in a warehouse setting., • Attention to detail when pulling, packing, and shipping orders., • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy warehouse., • Reliability and punctuality to support consistent day-shift operations., • Ability to work effectively as part of a small team.Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in an industrial warehouse environment that is not climate controlled, so temperatures will vary with the seasons. The standard schedule is a day shift from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You will work around forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment, and you should expect a hands-on, physically active role in a production-support setting. Typical warehouse attire appropriate for an industrial environment is expected. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bogart, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
