Contracted Massage Therapist (On-Call) \n Wyndham NRG Houston \n Metro Hospitality Partners, Ltd. \n Houston, Texas \n Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099) – On-Call \n Position Summary \n Metro Hospitality Partners, Ltd. is seeking a professional, licensed Massage Therapist to provide on-call massage services for hotel guests and approved clients at the in-house massage spa located within the Wyndham NRG Houston. The therapist will operate as an independent contractor and is responsible for delivering exceptional therapeutic services while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, sanitation, guest privacy, and regulatory compliance. \n Essential Duties and Responsibilities \n\n • Provide professional massage therapy services including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Prenatal (if certified), and other approved therapeutic modalities.\n, • Respond promptly to scheduled appointments and on-call requests.\n, • Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and organized treatment room before and after every service.\n, • Ensure all equipment, linens, oils, and supplies are maintained according to health and safety standards.\n, • Deliver exceptional customer service while creating a relaxing and professional guest experience.\n, • Protect guest confidentiality and comply with all privacy standards.\n, • Maintain accurate service records when required.\n, • Report any guest incidents, injuries, or safety concerns immediately to hotel management.\n, • Conduct oneself professionally while representing the Wyndham NRG Houston and Metro Hospitality Partners, Ltd.\n, • Maintain professional appearance and appropriate attire at all times.\n, • Work cooperatively with hotel management and front desk staff regarding scheduling and guest appointments.\n\n Minimum Qualifications \n\n • Current and active Texas Massage Therapist License in good standing.\n, • Minimum one (1) year of professional massage therapy experience preferred.\n, • Current CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.\n, • Excellent communication and customer service skills.\n, • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business demands.\n, • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.\n\n Background Requirements \n Employment as an independent contractor is contingent upon: \n\n • Successful criminal background check.\n, • Ability to legally work within the United States.\n, • Professional references upon request.\n, • Maintenance of all required professional licenses throughout the duration of the contract.\n\n Compliance Requirements \n The contractor shall comply with all applicable: \n\n • Federal laws and regulations.\n, • State of Texas laws and regulations.\n, • Harris County regulations.\n, • City of Houston ordinances.\n, • Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) requirements.\n, • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.\n, • Applicable health, sanitation, and infection-control guidelines.\n, • Wyndham brand standards, hotel operating policies, and Metro Hospitality Partners, Ltd. procedures.\n\n The contractor is solely responsible for maintaining all licenses, certifications, insurance (if required), and continuing education necessary to remain legally qualified to practice massage therapy. \n Independent Contractor Status \n This position is classified as an Independent Contractor (1099) and does not constitute employment with Metro Hospitality Partners, Ltd. The contractor is responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes, licensing fees, insurance, and any other obligations associated with independent contractor status. \n Physical Requirements \n\n • Ability to stand for extended periods.\n, • Ability to perform massage therapy services for up to 120-minute sessions.\n, • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.\n, • Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, arm, and upper body movements.\n\n Reporting Structure \n The Contracted Massage Therapist shall report directly to the Vice President of Operations or his designated representative for scheduling, operational matters, and compliance with hotel standards. \n
