Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support dentists in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will assist with patient preparation, chairside procedures, instrument sterilization, dental radiography, and maintenance of dental equipment while ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient workflow. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities • Prepare patients for dental examinations and treatment procedures, ensuring comfort and safety., • Assist dentists during chairside procedures by anticipating clinical needs and providing instruments and materials., • Sterilize, disinfect, and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms following infection control standards., • Take, develop, and process dental radiographs in accordance with established safety guidelines., • Mix and prepare dental materials, including amalgams, cements, composites, and other restorative materials., • Perform assigned laboratory procedures and assist with maintaining accurate patient records., • Maintain dental equipment and ensure treatment areas are fully stocked and organized., • Follow infection prevention, sterilization, and OSHA safety protocols at all times., • Provide patient education and support before, during, and after dental procedures., • Assist with additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED required., • Completion of an approved Dental Assistant training program (600 instructional hours) OR 300 instructional hours plus 6 months of qualifying Dental Assistant experience, OR 2 year of full-time Dental Assistant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience., • A minimum 3+ years of Dental Assistant experience required, • Experience assisting with chairside dental procedures, dental radiography, and instrument sterilization required., • Knowledge of dental materials, infection control practices, and sterilization techniques., • Ability to operate and maintain dental equipment safely and effectively., • Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills., • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental clinic while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
