Job Title: Project Executive Location: On Site - River Edge, New Jersey, United States Salary: $180,000-$220,000 Skills: interior, interior build out, interior construction, construction, commercial interiors About the Construction Company / The Opportunity: A leader in the Construction industry focused on delivering commercial interior and build-out projects, our client manages complex design/build and general contracting engagements for commercial, institutional, and industrial clients. This Project Executive role offers a senior leadership opportunity to lead multiple projects from preconstruction through completion, influence client relationships, and drive financial performance on high-profile interior construction programs. The position is based on-site in River Edge, New Jersey and suits a candidate who combines technical construction expertise with strong business development and team leadership skills. Responsibilities: • Lead and coordinate all phases of project delivery including design, estimating, procurement, engineering, construction, and post-construction for commercial interior projects., • Establish, maintain, and manage the master progress schedule, ensuring timely owner decisions, design deliverables, procurement, fabrication, and field installation., • Serve as the primary client liaison; develop and sustain effective relationships with clients, internal project teams, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project goals., • Execute projects in conformance with contract documents and achieve targeted financial results through effective cost control, forecasting, and change management., • Manage the preparation and submission of payment applications, ensure timely collection of payments, and oversee proper disbursement of project funds., • Organize, lead, and develop field and office project staff; drive quality, safety, insurance, labor relations, and EEO compliance throughout the project lifecycle., • Support business development activities by pursuing leads, leading proposal development and client interviews, and converting opportunities into awarded work. Must-Have Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent, with at least 15 years of Design/Build construction experience., • Proven track record leading multiple commercial/interior construction projects from preconstruction through completion., • Deep knowledge of construction cost control, scheduling, estimating, contract administration, and engineering principles., • Demonstrated business development, sales, negotiation, and client presentation skills with success securing new projects., • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors; excellent written and verbal communication., • Experience in proposal development, project pursuits, and client interview processes., • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Nice-to-Have Skills: • Established network in construction, real estate, industrial, commercial, or institutional markets., • Proficiency in Japanese (speaking, reading, and writing) is strongly preferred for regular communication with Japanese-speaking clients and partners., • Experience in both Design/Build and General Contractor delivery models., • Specific experience with commercial interior fit-outs, tenant build-outs, and finish-work coordination., • Familiarity with construction management and project controls tools (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project, BIM)., • Experience implementing safety programs and managing labor relations and compliance requirements.
