Job DescriptionIMMEDIATE HIRING FOR WAREHOUSE WORKER - 2ND SHIFT - $19/HOUR Job Description This role supports a busy distribution operation that manufactures automotive parts by performing a blend of shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties on the 2nd shift. You will handle incoming and outgoing materials, use RF scanners and rolling stairs to pick orders, and help keep inventory organized and ready for shipment in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities • Receive incoming inventory and restock materials in designated warehouse locations, including dispatch and overstock areas., • Load and unload materials from trucks safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment and manual handling techniques., • Break down boxes, sort materials, and package items securely for shipment according to company standards., • Use rolling stairs, order pickers, and RF scanners to accurately pick and fulfill orders for automotive parts., • Pick orders from various heights, including utilizing rolling stairs that may range from approximately 7 to 15 steps., • Assist warehouse supervisors and team leads as needed with daily operations and special projects., • Maintain a clean and organized work area by disposing of packaging materials, sweeping, and performing general cleaning tasks., • Follow established procedures for order picking, packing, loading, unloading, and inventory handling to ensure accuracy and efficiency., • Work both independently and as part of a team to meet production goals and shipping deadlines., • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper use of rolling safety ladders, RF scanners, and material handling equipment. Essential Skills • Experience performing general labor in a warehouse or distribution environment, including picking, packing, loading, and unloading., • Proficiency using RF scanners for order picking and inventory tracking., • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds., • Comfort using rolling safety ladders of approximately 5–7 steps and the ability to occasionally use a taller ladder of up to 15 feet when required for shipping., • Ability to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms throughout the shift., • Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squat to access materials and perform job duties., • Ability to speak, read, and write English to follow instructions, complete documentation, and use warehouse systems., • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining productivity under time constraints., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and remain self-motivated., • Willingness to work 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM, Monday–Friday) with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience using pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment., • Experience in order picking and packaging within an automotive or manufacturing warehouse environment., • Experience performing cleaning and basic facility upkeep in a warehouse setting., • Interest in learning and operating forklifts, with the opportunity for future forklift training., • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking, packing, and shipping., • Reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent warehouse operations. Work Environment This position is based in a busy warehouse and distribution facility where automotive parts are manufactured and shipped. The work environment is typically loud due to forklifts and other machines operating throughout the building. The role is on the 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours per day and occasional Saturday work. Employees frequently use rolling safety ladders, RF scanners, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools to perform their duties. The job requires being on your feet for most of the shift and moving throughout the facility. Dress code includes a plain shirt without logos for beer or alcohol, jeans without holes, and closed-toe shoes to support safety and professionalism. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brea, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
