Duties: You will complete steels projects for ground mounted steel frameworks, rooftop steel frames, solar canopy infrastructure, plinths, stairs, ducting etc & smaller projects on highways, rail, bridges plus pylons. This key role is based in the field based site installation team, so you will be working in close connection with the steel workshop team, delivering survey information & problem solving from site to ensure the steels & associated parts are made correctly to the site specifications / clients needs. You wont be welding on site, this is all completed by others in the clients workshop, however knowledge of fabrication would be essential in order to spot defects etc. You will commute to the Leicestershire yard daily to unload/load vehicles & to pick up work orders for the next installation project. Attributes Required: An NVQ qualification in Steel Erecting or similar. Possess experience in both Mild & Stainless-Steel fabrication processes.
