A leading engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join its production team. The role involves fabricating and welding high-quality metal components from engineering drawings, ensuring all products are manufactured to precise specifications and quality standards. \n Key Responsibilities: \n\n • Read and interpret 2D and 3D engineering drawings.\n, • Measure, mark out, fabricate and assemble metal components.\n, • Perform welding, grinding and finishing operations.\n, • Ensure all required parts and materials are available before assembly.\n, • Conduct quality inspections and complete quality documentation.\n, • Work in accordance with health and safety requirements at all times.\n\n Beneficial Skills / Experience: \n\n • Previous experience in a Fabricator/Welder position.\n, • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.\n, • Experience working with mild steel, Zintec and galvanised sheet metal.\n, • Competent using fabrication and welding equipment.\n, • Welding qualifications/certifications would be advantageous.\n, • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\n, • Ability to work with large metal components in a manufacturing environment.\n\n Working Hours \n Days \n\n • Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm\n, • Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm\n\n Afternoons \n\n • Monday – Thursday: 2:00pm – 12:30am\n, • Includes a 20% shift allowance\n\n The business is closed on Bank Holidays and operates a Christmas shutdown period. \n Benefits \n\n • Competitive hourly rate of up to £17.38 per hour (dependent on experience).\n, • 31 days holiday, increasing with service.\n, • Holiday buy/sell scheme.\n, • Christmas shutdown.\n, • Paid breaks.\n, • Healthcare benefits, including 24/7 GP access.\n, • Death in service cover.\n, • Salary sacrifice scheme.\n, • Free on-site parking.\n, • Ongoing training and career development opportunities.\n, • Supportive and collaborative working environment.\n
