Salary: £18 – £19.66 per hour (depending on qualifications ) \n\n • Overtime after 45 hours will be paid at £22.5 – £24.58ph\n, • Occasional Sundays or Bank Holidays will be paid at £27 – £29.49ph\n, • Exclusive use of a company van for work purposes.\n\n Hours: \n\n • 45 hours per week – Monday to Friday 7.30am – 5.00pm\n, • Alternative Saturdays 7am – 12pm paid at £22.5 – £24.58ph\n\n Location: Solihull, B92 0LP \n This facility is one of the largest livestock bedding suppliers in the country with over 40 years of experience in producing and supplying a range of high-quality animal bedding. \n What we can offer you; \n\n • On the job training provided\n, • 20 days of annual leave increasing by one day per year after 2 years service to a maximum of 25 days\n, • Access to our people’s pension scheme\n, • Free physiotherapy service\n, • Discounts on everything from groceries to well known retailers\n, • Access to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to\n, • Ongoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential (IRTEK qualification , Coded welder qualification , HGV Level 3 apprenticeship, Counterbalance , Telehandler , Cherry Picker , scissor lift , manual handling , working at heights , HGV Driving , Fabrication , Hydraulics and many other )\n\n What you will be doing: \n You will be working alongside other technicians to repair and maintain a fleet of HGVs and trailers, working out of the vehicle maintenance workshop. \n\n • Trailer inspections and repairs\n, • Carry out PPM and/or fault finding on HGV/LGV units and trailers\n, • Moffat inspections and repairs\n, • Hydraulic works on multiple types of units / trailers\n, • Electrical works on multiple types of units / trailers\n, • Work on bespoke “blower” trailers (including blowing equipment)\n, • Fault-finding and brake testing/braking systems\n, • Pre LOLER inspections to fleet, where applicable\n, • Some aspects of welding and fabricating\n, • Attend off-site breakdowns\n\n What are we looking for? \n Essential: \n\n • NVQ Level 3 in HGV Motor Mechanics and experience\n, • Good awareness of safe working practices / Health & Safety\n\n Minimum : \n\n • 4 years of experience on HGV Mechanic ( then we can offer to do IRTEK qualification )\n\n Desirable: IRTEK qualification, HGV licence, Autoelectric qualification, hydraulic qualification or experience
