Monday to Friday 07.00 to 15:30, (30 minutes unpaid lunch break each day). \n, • Bonus Scheme\n, • Contributory Pension Scheme – 6% Employer, 2% Employee (18% employer after 3 years' service)\n, • 24 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays \n, • Life Assurance Scheme (after qualifying period - successful completion of 3-month probation period)\n, • Private medical insurance (after qualifying period - successful completion of 3-month probation period)\n, • Employee Support and Perks Package (after qualifying period - successful completion of 3-month probation period)\n, • Dental care (after qualifying period - successful completion of 3-month probation period)\n, • Cycle to Work scheme\n, • Free car parking\nPurpose of the roleThis role offers the opportunity to programme, set and operate advanced CNC turning and milling machinery, producing high-quality precision components to exact engineering standards.Roles & Responsibilities:\n\n, • Setting up and operating CNC machines, which includes loading workpieces, selecting tools, and setting machine parameters.\n, • Following and interpreting engineering drawings, understanding the specifications and tolerances required for each part.\n, • Creating and modifying CNC programmes, using CAD software or manual programming to create the necessary instructions for the machine.\n, • Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise during the machining process.\n, • Ensuring quality and accuracy of finished parts and verifying that they meet the required specifications.\nPreferred requirements and skills:\n\n, • Previous experience in CNC programming using Alphacam CAD CAM system is essential\n, • Experience in using Puma SMX2600S CNC LATHE and Puma 3100LSY multitask turning machines is essential\n, • Ability to program set and operate using a Fanuc31iB5 plus CNC control\n, • Strong understanding of engineering drawings\n, • Excellent attention to detail \n, • Ability to identify and resolve issues\n, • Able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects\n, • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude\nQualifications and education requirements:\n\n, • GSCE Mathematics\n, • Good level of basic English\n
