This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administration skills, excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Previous payroll experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.The RoleReporting to the Operations Manager, you'll support the smooth running of weekly payroll and compliance processes, ensuring temporary workers are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance standards. You'll work closely with recruitment consultants, clients, candidates and payroll providers in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll\n\n • Process weekly payroll for PAYE, Umbrella and Limited Company workers.\n, • Accurately input authorised timesheets and payroll data.\n, • Process starters, leavers and payroll amendments.\n, • Maintain employee records, including bank details, tax and NI information.\n, • Process P45s, starter declarations and payroll documentation.\n, • Assist with holiday pay, reconciliations and commission calculations.\n, • Resolve payroll queries and rejected BACS payments.\n, • Support statutory deductions, duplicate payslips and payroll reporting.\n, • Liaise with payroll providers, consultants and clients to ensure accuracy.\nCompliance & Administration\n\n, • Verify Right to Work documents in line with UK legislation.\n, • Ensure candidate files are fully compliant before placement.\n, • Process contracts, registrations and compliance documentation.\n, • Maintain accurate electronic personnel records and filing systems.\n, • Carry out compliance audits and support onboarding.\n, • Ensure GDPR compliance and assist consultants with compliance queries.\nBusiness Support\n\n, • Produce compliance and management reports.\n, • Support operational improvement projects.\n, • Provide general administrative support across the Operations team.\n, • Build strong relationships with clients, candidates and colleagues.\nAbout YouYou'll have:\n\n, • Previous administration experience in a busy office.\n, • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.\n, • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.\n, • Excellent communication and time management skills.\n, • The ability to manage multiple deadlines.\n, • A professional, confidential approach.\n, • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.\n, • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.\nDesirableExperience in payroll, recruitment administration, temporary staffing, Right to Work compliance, HMRC processes, GDPR, CRM/ATS systems or Excel reporting is advantageous but not essential.What We Offer\n\n, • £26,000 - £29,000 salary (DOE)\n, • Full training and ongoing support\n, • Career progression opportunities\n, • Company pension\n, • 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)\n, • Friendly, supportive team\n, • Modern Lewisham office\n, • Employee recognition and incentives\n, • Regular social events\n, • Ongoing professional development\nWhy Join Us?You'll become part of a growing recruitment business where you'll play an important role supporting payroll, compliance and operations.
