This is a fantastic opportunity to join Marshall Land Systems ( and their team of Electricians, manufacturing and installing electrical circuits and communication systems into mobile workspaces and various electrical products and equipment based at their new site in Merthyr Tydfil (postcode is CF48 4DR). Initially this is a contract role with a strong possibility of becoming permanent with Marshall Land. \n 40 hours a week \n The role is responsible for the installation of cabling, wiring, and electro-mechanical components into deployable shelters, under the supervision of Red Seal Industrial Electrician. \n Duties: \n\n • Assemble and install electrical components into deployable shelters using engineering drawings and associated design data\n, • Read schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures\n, • Operate standard equipment including but not limited to various testing tools\n, • Assemble and install component pieces using hand and power tools\n, • Adhere to all Health and Safety, and Quality policies and procedures\n, • Participate in the creation of job instructions, operating procedures\n, • Participate in continuous improvement activities\n, • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor – Components & Assembly\n\n Employment Requirements: \n Essential: \n\n • Qualification in 18th edition essential\n, • Prior Electrical Installation experience\n, • Minimum three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment\n, • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills\n, • Available to work overtime as required\n\n Desirable: \n\n • NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline\n, • City & Guilds 2365 Level 2/3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Building & Structures, or equivalent electrical qualification)\n, • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban and SMED preferred\n, • Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Excel/Word, Outlook\n\n About Marshall Land Syttems \n Based in the UK, with operations in Canada, Marshall Land Systems specialises in the design and production of deployable operational infrastructure and mission support for humanitarian, defence and security operations across the globe.
