This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with the General Manager as their second-in-command, helping to oversee the day-to-day running of the business while leading by example on the floor and delivering memorable guest experiences. Benefits: Up to £42,000 package Competitive salary plus approximately £8,000£10,000 annual tronc Live-in accommodation available if required Work within a successful food-led gastro pub Excellent career progression opportunities Staff meals on duty Supportive management team Free on-site parking Beautiful countryside location As Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the operation, supporting the General Manager across all aspects of the business while helping to develop and motivate a close-knit front-of-house team. This role would suit an existing Assistant Manager, Bar Manager, or strong Supervisor looking to step into a broader management position within a busy and quality-driven pub. As Assistant Manager you will: Support the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the business Lead the front-of-house team during busy service periods Deliver warm, professional, and attentive guest service Help train, motivate, and develop the team Assist with rotas, staffing, and daily operations Maintain high standards of presentation and service throughout the pub Handle guest feedback confidently and professionally Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service The ideal candidate will be a customer-focused hospitality professional with a passion for delivering outstanding service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for every guest. Experience with rotas and P&L would be advantageous but is not essential, as attitude, leadership potential, and a hands-on approach are considered just as important.
