ppWe are looking for a Head of Communications who will own and drive the companies media presence and external narrative in the US and Europe. This role requires a hands‑on communications leader with an established network of journalist and media relationships who can engage press directly, shaping how the world understands the company. /p pThe role sits within the Marketing Communications function, and operates as the primary point of contact for all earned media, executive communications, and reputation management. The right candidate substantially reduces the company's dependency on external PR agencies by building robust in‑house communications capability. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Direct Media Relations – US Europe /h3 ul liOwn the journalist and media relationship network across top‑tier technology, business, and AI press in the US and Europe — and cultivate it continuously. /li liPitch and place stories directly with reporters and editors, without intermediary agencies, maximising earned media coverage for products, funding, partnerships, and thought leadership. /li liServe as the first point of contact for inbound media enquiries; develop and enforce a clear, fast response process. /li liBuild and maintain a living map of key media contacts, editorial calendars, and coverage opportunities by region and outlet. /li /ul h3In‑House PR Capability Reduced Vendor Dependence /h3 ul liTransition core PR activities from external agencies to an in‑house model, ensuring quality and speed without sacrificing coverage reach. /li liDefine the appropriate use and scope of external PR partners, managing them as focused specialists rather than primary communicators. /li liDevelop scalable processes and tooling for press release drafting, media outreach, coverage tracking, and crisis response. /li liDrive media visibility for the CEO and leadership team through interviews, by‑lines, speaking engagements, and editorial placements. /li liPrepare executives for media interactions: briefings, QA prep, messaging discipline. /li liBuild a forward‑looking calendar of high‑impact media and industry events where Multiverse leadership should be visible. /li /ul h3Content Narrative /h3 ul liWrite and edit press releases, executive statements, op‑eds, and strategic announcements to the highest editorial standard. /li liTranslate complex quantum and AI concepts into compelling, credible narratives accessible to business and mainstream media audiences. /li liEnsure consistency between external communications and company positioning across product launches, partnerships, and milestones. /li /ul h3Internal Alignment Crisis Communications /h3 ul liAlign communications strategy with Marketing, Product, Legal, and Commercial teams before each external moment. /li liOwn crisis and issues management communications — rapid response, message control, stakeholder coordination. /li liReport on coverage quality, sentiment, share of voice, and earned media impact to senior leadership. /li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul liEstablished, direct relationships with journalists and editors at major technology and business media in the US and/or Europe (e.g. FT, Reuters, Bloomberg, TechCrunch, Wired, VentureBeat, WSJ, The Economist). /li liDemonstrable track record of securing high‑impact earned media coverage through direct outreach — not solely via agency relationships. /li liSignificant experience in communications or PR within AI, enterprise software, deep tech, or complex B2B environments. /li liExceptional writing and editorial skills in English; ability to produce publication‑ready content independently. /li liProven experience reducing external agency dependency by building in‑house PR capability. /li /ul pBy applying to this role you understand that we may collect your personal data and store and process it on our systems.
