ppWe are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to join our team in our West Sacramento office. The Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure that they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Project managers plan and designate project resources, monitor progress and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. /p h3Duties/Responsibilities: /h3 ul liThoroughly understand project scope and objectives. /li liUnderstand resources needed to reach objectives and manage those resources in an effective and efficient manner. /li liUnderstand project budget prepared by the Estimating team. /li liTrack project costs to meet budget. /li liDevelop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan. /li liProvide project updates on a consistent basis to internal and external stakeholders regarding strategy, adjustments, and progress. /li liRespond to all customer communication within 24 hours. /li liWork with the General Foreman/foreman and the customer in order to prepare monthly billings for submission to the accounting department; /li liIdentify work outside of project scope and prepare change orders to capture the billings and cost associated with this work; /li liUtilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution; /li liMonitor progress and make timely adjustments as needed /li liMeasure project performance to identify areas for improvement. /li /ul h3Required Skills/Abilities: /h3 ul liExcellent verbal and written communication skills. /li liExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills. /li liExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail. /li liExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. /liliStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. /li liStrong supervisory and leadership skills. /li liExcellent critical thinking skills /li liValid state driver's license /li liProficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel /li liAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. /li liAbility to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. /li /ul h3Education and Experience: /h3 ul liBachelor's degree in construction management, business, or a related field not required by highly encouraged /li li2-4 years of project management and related experience, Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience. /li liStrong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices /li liExperience seeing projects through the full life cycle. /li liProven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline. /li liExperience managing projects at a company(s) as both a General Contractor and Subcontractor /li liExperience with Caltrans, California State public work projects, Traffic Control and low-voltage electric projects preferred /li /ul h3Physical Requirements: /h3 ul liProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. /li liMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. /li liDriving to work sites. /li /ul h3Benefits: /h3 ul liMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance /li li401(k) after eligibility has been met /li li8 Paid Holidays /li /ul h3Disclosures: /h3 pThis job description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
