Requisition Number: 24311BRDescription:Stantec requires to hire an Intermediate Mining Engineer, professional with at least 7 years of work experience in general.General Objective of the Role:Carry out the calculation and methodology of the material extraction in a mine or quarry, as well as the economic plan for its execution in a profitable manner. Functionally reports to the CQA Manager in Lima (CQA Mngr) and the Mining Manager (Principal, Mining) in Salt Lake City.Main Responsibilities- Carry out the calculation and methodology of the material extraction in a mine or quarry- Develop the economic plan for execution of the extraction in a profitable manner.- Be a liaison between Stantec offices (Lima and Salt Lake City).- Review and correct models for the mining material extraction.- Short Term: Daily, weekly and monthly plans- Medium: Forecast and Budget (up to 2 Y)- Long: Life of Mine Plan and Strategic planQualifications- Degree in Mining Engineering- Member of the Peruvian Engineers Association- 5 - 10 years of experience in surface mining- Engineering and operations experience at an operating mine considered an asset.- English: fluent (advanced) speaking and writing is a must- Skill set in open pits & waste dump design- Prior experience in short‑range planning and scheduling required.- Prior experience in long‑range planning, scheduling, and budgeting preferred.- Experience in equipment selection and fleet size determination.- Practical experience in one of the following: Vulcan, MineSight, Deswik or Carlson mine design software- Knowledge of Whittle software a plus- Handling Minesight (or Mineplan)- Communication skills at all levels- Excellent relationship with internal clients, global Stantec, support areas- Detail orientation- Planning and programmingWork Location(s): Peru - San Isidro, LimaEmployment Type: Fixed TermJob Type: RegularJob Category: Engineering Other#J-18808-Ljbffr
