ppAre you our new Tools Development Engineer for Automated Coating Application? Hempel is looking for a new colleague who can join our ambitious team. The role requires close cross‑functional collaboration to translate application needs into practical engineering solutions that can be tested, scaled, and implemented safely in the field. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 h3Tool and Equipment Development /h3 ul liDevelop, prototype, and improve tools, fixtures, and support equipment for coating application processes, with focus on automated and semi‑automated solutions. /li liSupport design for manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, and safe operation in industrial coating environments. /li /ul h3Automation and System Integration /h3 ul liContribute to development of automated coating application concepts by integrating mechanical components, electronics, sensors, actuators, and control elements. /li liParticipate in testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of tool performance in laboratory, workshop, and field environments. /li liSupport selection and validation of components and suppliers for tool development projects. /li /ul h3Project Execution and Documentation /h3 ul liPrepare technical drawings, specifications, test plans, and development documentation for new tools and modifications. /li liCoordinate with application specialists, coating advisors, RD colleagues, and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and practical implementation of solutions. /li liContribute to continuous improvement of application methods, reliability, and repeatability in automated coating processes. /li liSuccessful development and implementation of fit‑for‑purpose tools and equipment. /li liOn‑time completion of development milestones, tests, and documentation. /li liImproved reliability, repeatability, and safety in coating application processes. /li liEffective support to automation initiatives and field implementation. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline. /li li3–7 years of experience in product development, tool development, industrial equipment, automation, or special‑purpose machinery, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments. /li liHands‑on experience with mechanical design and/or electronics integration, depending on background. /li liExperience with testing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical documentation. /li liKnowledge of automation, robotics, industrial equipment, or coating application processes is an advantage. /li liFluency in English. /li /ul h3What do we look for in you? /h3 ul liWillingness to work hands‑on in workshop, test, and field environments. /li liPractical engineering mindset with strong problem‑solving skills. /li liCurious, development‑oriented, and comfortable working with new technology. /li liStructured and detail‑oriented approach to testing and documentation. /li liAbility to move between concept work and hands‑on practical execution. /li liStrong collaboration and communication skills across technical and operational teams. /li liPersistent, adaptable, and focused on delivering workable solutions. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
