You will play a key role across the full lifecycle of propulsion test campaigns, from planning and preparation to execution and reporting, while contributing to the development and continuous improvement of our test facilities. This role offers hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge propulsion technologies, including cryogenic engines and in-space propulsion systems, working closely with experienced engineers. You will take ownership of specific test activities and campaigns, requiring a structured, pragmatic approach to planning and execution, with a clear focus on achieving objectives in complex, time‑constrained environments. bImportant: /b This position requires occasional travel to external test sites in Spain and abroad. All travel expenses are covered. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liSupport the planning, preparation, execution, and reporting of propulsion system tests (cryogenic engines, in-space propulsion systems, turbopumps, and subsystems). /li liTake ownership of test activities and small-to-medium test campaigns, ensuring proper planning, coordination, and execution. /li liAssist in the operation, maintenance, and upgrade of test facilities and ground support equipment. /li liDevelop and follow procedures, checklists, and safety protocols, always ensuring safe test execution. /li liContribute to data acquisition setup, instrumentation, and calibration activities. /li liPerform post-test data analysis and support the preparation of technical reports. /li liCollaborate with design and systems teams to define test objectives, parameters, and success criteria. /li liSupport preventive maintenance programs and facility reliability improvements. /li liIdentify and implement improvements in test setups, instrumentation, and processes. /li liEnsure compliance with internal safety, quality, and operational standards. /li liContribute to the development of test rigs and associated software tools. /li /ul h3What You Need To Be Successful /h3 ul li2 years of experience in aerospace, propulsion, or hardware testing (academic or professional). /li liSolid engineering background (ideally aerospace or mechanical engineering). /li liExperience with testing activities and experimental setups. /li liUnderstanding of test instrumentation and data acquisition systems. /liliBasic knowledge of safety practices in high-pressure or cryogenic environments. /li liAbility to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks pragmatically, focusing on delivering results. /li liDemonstrated ownership and leadership mindset, with the ability to lead activities and drive progress. /li liStrong analytical, hands‑on, and problem‑solving skills. /li liAbility to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment. /li liExcellent communication and documentation skills. /li liProactive mindset with strong ownership and willingness to learn. /li liFamiliarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW). /li liFluent in English; Spanish is a plus. /li /ul h3Nice to Have /h3 ul liExperience with cryogenic or liquid propellant systems. /li liExperience with LabVIEW. /li liExperience in test rig software development and automation. /li /ul h3Equal Opportunity /h3 pPangea Propulsion is an equal‑opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
