Please note that there is no differentiation in the standards or requirements of the tasks for Freelance or Fulltime faculty. The Freelance arrangement is just a mode of engagement to offer you greater flexibility. /p pAs a Freelance Lecturer, you will be requested to contribute to one or more of the following: /p ul liTeaching /li liResearch Supervision /li liCombination of Teaching and Research /li /ul h3Required /h3 pDepending on the tasks assigned and as per the accepted terms and conditions, as specified in your contract, you will be required to perform the following tasks: /p ul liTeaching the assigned academic modules according to the curriculum and as per the agreed timetable. /li liAmending or designing and developing a new curriculum for a Course/Unit/Module, if required. /li liCreating learning material including power point presentations and other supporting material, as per the requirements. /li liProviding consultation and mentoring to students. /li liEnsuring the guidance required to students for development of relevant skills as per the objectives and learning outcomes of the Course/Unit/Module. /li liPreparing students for summative assessment through guidance and formative assessment, as applicable. /li liCommunicate effectively with students and providing regular feedback about learning. /li liPlaying a proactive role in promoting the school through academic activities and thought leadership. /li liMonitoring student performance or assisting students in academic environments, such as classrooms, laboratories, internships or projects. /li liSupervising Dissertations/ Projects/ Internship as per the prescribed standards. /li liParticipating in School’s activities as assigned by the Dean of the Faculty and/or Chief Academic Officer. /li /ul h3Your Tasks /h3 pIn line with the job responsibilities described earlier, your tasks mainly be one or more of the following as assigned by the Dean of the Faculty/ Chief Academic Officer: /p ul liConducting Teaching Session /li liMentoring and guiding students for accomplishing the desired learning outcomes /li liSupervising Dissertation /li liGuiding Projects and Internship activities /li liPreparation of Assignments and Tasks Descriptions for Assessment /li liExamination and Evaluation related work /li liMentoring students and providing them regular feedback /li liCreating learning material and supporting resources /li liIn charge of grading, including moderation /li liAny other academic tasks as assigned and mutually agreed. /li /ul pYour profile /p h3Essential /h3 ul liPhD or equivalent qualification with evidence of theoretical/ practical knowledge in your domain of expertise. /li liStrong knowledge of practical tools and techniques, if applicable, in your domain od knowledge. /li liVery good knowledge of Windows OS, of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). /li liFluent in spoken and written in both English and Spanish /li liVery good organisational and communication skills. /li liHigh social competence and assertiveness. /li liMaintaining an overview even with high workloads. /li liResilient and flexible. /li /ul h3Desirable /h3 ul liScientific publications in a related discipline. /li liPrior teaching experience in higher education at the University level. /li liProfessional experience in your field of expertise. /li liKnowledge of Educational Platforms (i.e., Canvas, Blackboard etc.). /li liSound knowledge of study regulations and rules. /li /ul h3Why us? /h3 h3We Offer /h3 ul liAn open-ended framework contract as an external freelance lecturer /li liA varied, innovative and international working environment in collaboration with partner universities and cooperation partners /li liThe chance to develop personally and professionally /li /ul pAs an employer, we are committed to equal opportunity and support for minorities.
