Location: Madrid, Spain | Work arrangement: Hybrid | Contract type: Full-time | Visa status: Valid working visa for Spain | Language requirements: Fluent/professional Spanish and English, written and verbal As our new Payroll Specialist (Mid-Level), you will support our international payroll and benefits operations. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day payroll execution for Spain, while coordinating with external payroll providers for Italy and Portugal. This is an operational, hands‑on role perfect for someone looking to solidify their international exposure under the guidance of our global team. Key Responsibilities • Payroll Execution: Record monthly payroll incidents (bonuses, overtime, one‑time payments), manage flexible remuneration, benefits in kind, settlements, and personal income tax for Spain., • Vendor Coordination: Act as the main point of contact and coordinate monthly payroll inputs/outputs with our external payroll providers in Italy and Portugal., • Employee Support: Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries related to compensation, benefits, taxation, and deductions., • Personnel Administration & Compliance: Ensure compliance with social security obligations (Spain) and manage employee records, contracts, registrations/terminations, and medical leaves., • Data & Finance: Maintain the Personnel Department’s databases and work closely with the Finance department to reconcile monthly payroll. What we need to see from you • Typically, candidates successful in this role have gained around 2–5 years of relevant payroll experience in international environments. This role is particularly well suited to professionals who enjoy hands‑on payroll operations and are looking to further develop their international exposure in a collaborative global environment., • Degree in Labour Relations, Human Resources, or a related field., • Proven experience in a payroll-focused role (Payroll Specialist), performing functions similar to those described above in an operational, hands‑on environment., • Experience managing end‑to‑end payroll processes across at least two countries in collaboration with internal stakeholders and/or external payroll providers., • International payroll experience is required., • Demonstrated experience managing payroll processes across diferent countries, including systems such as Sistema RED/SILTRA, AEAT, Segurança Social, AT, INPS or equivalent institutions in other countries., • Experience with payroll systems such as SUMMAR (LABOR), SDWORX (INTEGHRO), META4, A3NOM, SAP, or similar is a plus, • Experience with Workday is an advantage.
