The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting tools and infrastructures to help design semiconductor products using advanced CAD tools, while also providing support for EDA tools and automating workflows through scripting. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliProvide support and maintenance CAD tools used by IC designers including Synopsys Custom Compiler, Primesim, VCS, ICV, StarRC, Virtuoso, ADE, various simulation tools, and Verilog / System Verilog /liliHelp maintain and update CAD libraries and databases. /liliDevelop and maintain scripts using Python, Perl, Tcl, and Cadence SKILL to automate design processes and improve efficiency. /liliWork with CAD tool vendors to evaluate new tools, solve bugs, improve usability, etc. /liliDevelop infrastructure to support design work in new process technologies. /liliCollaborate with design engineers to refine and improve existing designs flow based on feedback. /liliAssist users in understanding and resolving technical issues related to CAD designs. /liliProvide clear and concise explanations of complex technical concepts to non-technical users. /liliCommunicate effectively with users to diagnose and resolve technical problems. /liliEnsure compliance with industry standards and best practices in design and documentation. /liliProvide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members. /liliOrganize and manage documentation to ensure easy retrieval and reference. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. /liliProven experience in CAD design, preferably with advanced process technologies. /liliExperience with EDA tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor Graphics). /liliAbility to explain technical information in a simple and understandable manner. /liliExperience with Python, Tcl, Cadence SKILL, Perl. /liliFamiliarity with Linux/Unix (e.g., Red hat) /liliFamiliarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, version control). /liliExcellent attention to detail and accuracy. /liliExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. /liliAbility to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly. /liliKnowledge of industry standards and regulations related to semiconductor design. /li /ulh3Location /h3ulliPortugal, Spain, Germany or Netherlands /li /ulh3Equal Opportunity /h3pMonolithic Power Systems, Inc.
