Job Description Metal Fabricator / MIG Welder – Union Job, Full Benefits Railex Corporation | Copiague, NY Railex manufactures overhead conveyors and material handling equipment. We are looking for a skilled metal fabricator to join our team building conveyors and material handling equipment. You must be able to read shop drawings. This position is for a lead fabricator / machinery builder. What you'll do: You will be one of our lead fabricators building conveyors. You will read shop drawings and cut, punch, stamp, bend, weld, grind, drill, sand, paint, and assemble steel parts and frames. You will work with 16 ga to 3/8" sheet metal, strip steel, channel, angle iron and steel tube from 1⁄2” square to 3” round. Some of the equipment that you will use includes saws, brake presses, MIG welding, drill presses, iron workers, a CNC plasma table, and a robotic welding cell, and 3 different types of tube benders . There is room to grow and learn new skills on the job. Requirements: • Able to read blueprints, • MIG welding experience on steel, • Set up a brake press, • Set up a tube bender, • Able to lift 50 lbs, • Legally eligible to work in the U.S. This is a union job that includes · Guaranteed annual raise · Paid vacation time · Paid sick time · Paid personal time · Overtime pay if you want it · Paid Holidays · 401(K) · Health Insurance · Paid breaks 2X per day
