Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Technician – Supply StoreJob Description The Warehouse Technician supports daily warehouse operations by safely handling materials, managing inbound and outbound shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role involves operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, stocking and organizing products, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. The position is designated as safety sensitive and requires flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed. Responsibilities • Use material handling equipment to manage inbound and outbound shipments, including loading and unloading trucks and moving materials into and out of warehouse racks and between locations., • Receive inbound freight from parcel carriers such as UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, and DHL, and process materials accurately into inventory systems., • Safely operate assigned material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, and complete required inspections to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition., • Report all accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions promptly to the supervisor and follow established safety procedures., • Stock, arrange, and rotate products to support proper inventory turns and maintain organized warehouse storage areas., • Perform cycle counts to determine accurate material quantities and help maintain inventory accuracy., • Receive materials into inventory, move materials between designated locations, and locate and pick materials to and from warehouse locations as required., • Verify accurate part numbers, quantities, and related data fields to maintain precise electronic records of receipts, inventories, and locations., • Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving material quantities, part numbers, and inventory records., • Locate and store parts in a manner that ensures pallet stability, adheres to pallet height guidelines, and prevents damage to materials, racking, and equipment., • Ensure materials are stored properly and not left in aisles or other areas that could create safety hazards or obstruct workflow., • Practice safe material handling techniques at all times, including proper lifting, stacking, and equipment operation procedures., • Perform housekeeping duties as assigned to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment., • Work overtime and weekends as required to support operational needs in a safety sensitive role.Essential Skills, • Proven ability to safely operate forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts., • Experience using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment., • Hands-on experience with loading and unloading trucks in a warehouse or shipping and receiving environment., • Demonstrated material handling skills, including picking, staging, and moving inventory., • Experience performing inventory control activities such as cycle counts and stock checks., • Ability to use RF scanners or similar devices to support inventory and picking operations., • Capability to perform heavy lifting and general labor tasks in a warehouse setting., • Comfort working at heights above 6 feet when required., • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate part numbers, quantities, and data entry for inventory records., • Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to safety procedures in a safety sensitive role., • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as operational needs require.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Previous experience in shipping and receiving operations., • Background in inventory control within a warehouse or supply store environment., • Experience operating multiple types of material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks., • Ability to maintain organized storage areas and support efficient warehouse turns of inventory., • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in material quantities and part numbers.Why Work Here? The role involves physical activity, including heavy lifting, working at heights above 6 feet when required, and moving materials throughout warehouse racks and storage areas. The facility emphasizes safety and housekeeping, requiring adherence to safe material handling techniques, equipment inspections, and maintaining clean, unobstructed aisles and workspaces. Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet operational demands. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lubbock, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
