In this patient-facing role, you will administer a wide range of immunizations, including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, and other CDC-recommended vaccines, while delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care across assigned retail pharmacy locations. \n The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, adaptable, customer-focused, and committed to promoting public health through immunization services. \n Key Responsibilities\n \n • Administer immunizations including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis, Tdap, Shingles, Pneumonia, RSV, and other routine vaccines in accordance with CDC and state guidelines.\n, • Perform patient screening, vaccine eligibility assessments, and review medical histories before vaccination.\n, • Educate patients regarding vaccine benefits, possible side effects, aftercare instructions, and answer immunization-related questions.\n, • Monitor patients for adverse reactions following vaccine administration and respond appropriately to medical emergencies.\n, • Maintain accurate electronic documentation of all vaccinations and patient encounters.\n, • Follow established infection prevention, medication safety, and vaccine storage/handling protocols.\n, • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CDC, state regulations, and company policies.\n, • Collaborate effectively with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and pharmacy support staff.\n, • Maintain vaccine inventory, supplies, and clinical equipment.\n, • Adapt to varying clinic schedules and float to assigned retail locations as needed.\n, • Deliver exceptional customer service while creating a welcoming and professional patient experience.\n Required Qualifications\n \n, • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas (or compact license if applicable).\n, • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization administration.\n, • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.\n, • Experience administering multiple vaccines to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.\n, • Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills.\n, • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education abilities.\n, • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced retail healthcare environment.\n, • Flexible with scheduling and work locations.\n, • Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.\n Preferred Qualifications\n \n, • Previous retail clinic, community health, occupational health, or vaccination clinic experience.\n, • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) documentation.\n, • Strong organizational and time-management skills.\n, • Ability to efficiently manage high-volume vaccination clinics.\n Required Skills\n \n, • Immunization Administration\n, • Clinical Assessment\n, • Medication Administration\n, • Patient Education\n, • Emergency Response\n, • Infection Prevention & Control\n, • Vaccine Documentation\n, • HIPAA Compliance\n, • Customer Service\n, • Team Collaboration\n, • Communication Skills\n, • Time Management\n, • Adaptability\n, • Attention to Detail\n Work Schedule\n \n, • Monday\n, • Tuesday\n, • Thursday\n, • Friday\n, • Saturday\n, • 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM\n, • Approximately 20 hours per week\n Work Environment\n \n, • Retail Pharmacy\n, • Community Vaccination Clinics\n, • Patient-facing clinical setting\n, • PPE provided\n, • Onsite position with float assignments based on business needs\n \n About Encode INC\n \n At Encode, we empower organizations and individuals through innovative, human-centric workforce and technology solutions.
