Job DescriptionJob Title: Mechanical Assembler Job Description Join a dynamic production team focused on building high-performance mechanical systems for industrial, aerospace, and fluid control applications. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will assemble, test, and package mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components to precise specifications, ensuring every product meets strict standards for quality, reliability, and safety. Responsibilities • Assemble mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment., • Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to build assemblies accurately from start to finish., • Build pneumatic assemblies in accordance with provided instructions and drawings., • Troubleshoot assemblies, identify issues, and perform re-work to correct defects or improve performance., • Conduct inspections and functional tests on completed assemblies to verify product integrity, performance, and adherence to specifications., • Test and label equipment accurately to ensure traceability and compliance with internal standards., • Use basic machinery such as saws, drill presses, tapping machines, and grinders safely and effectively during the assembly process., • Package finished products for shipment, following safety, quality, and documentation requirements., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in alignment with 5S and lean manufacturing principles., • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and continuously improve processes.Essential Skills, • Proven experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing or similar production environment., • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and assembly diagrams and build assemblies independently from the start., • Hands-on experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems., • Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for assembly and fabrication tasks., • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical assemblies and perform re-work as needed., • Capability to operate basic shop machinery, including saws, drill presses, tapping machines, and grinders., • Familiarity with reading assembly drawings and following detailed work instructions., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, reliable products., • Ability to follow safety procedures and quality standards consistently in a production environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Background in manufacturing or production environments involving mechanical or fluid control systems., • Experience working with hydraulic equipment and related components., • Exposure to lean manufacturing concepts and 5S workplace organization practices., • Comfort working with basic electrical or schematic concepts in support of mechanical assembly., • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks within a production schedule.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a warehouse and shop environment with a Monday through Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You will work around mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and use hand tools, power tools, and basic shop machinery such as saws, drill presses, tapping machines, and grinders. The setting emphasizes safety, organization, and cleanliness, with 5S and lean manufacturing principles guiding daily work practices. Appropriate work attire suitable for a shop and warehouse environment is expected, supporting safe and efficient operation throughout the shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bakersfield, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
