Job DescriptionJob Title: Concrete LaborerJob Description The concrete laborer supports experienced operators with general labor duties while learning core drilling, concrete sawing, cutting, and concrete removal. This role involves hands-on work with a variety of tools and equipment on active construction sites and offers the opportunity to build strong technical skills in concrete cutting and related trades. Responsibilities • Assist experienced operators with core drilling, concrete sawing, cutting, and removal of concrete on job sites., • Cut, saw, lift, and core drill concrete safely and efficiently according to project requirements., • Operate and handle a wide variety of hand tools and power tools used in concrete and construction work., • Maintain company equipment, including vehicles, diamond blades, flat saws, core drills, wall saws, jackhammers, and small tools., • Perform inspection, general maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and cleaning of all assigned equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation., • Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and secure at all times., • Support concrete work such as slabs, pours, formwork, and finishing as directed by supervisors or operators., • Work effectively in outdoor construction environments, including in rain, cold, heat, and other challenging conditions., • Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment while working around dust, dirt, noise, and heavy equipment., • Travel to and from various job sites as required, using company vehicles when authorized.Essential Skills, • At least 1+ years of construction experience, preferably in roles such as construction, demolition, or plumbing., • Ability to operate a wide variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively., • Solid mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and work with mechanical equipment and tools., • Experience working in outdoor environments and willingness to work in hot, cold, and wet weather conditions., • Ability to lift, carry, and remain mobile with 45 lbs or more on a regular basis., • Flexible availability to work overtime and possible weekends based on project needs., • Valid driver’s license to meet internal compliance requirements and support long-term employment opportunities., • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and reliability in a physically demanding environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with wall saws, core drills, flat saws, hand saws, ring saws, and compressor tools such as jackhammers is preferred., • Background in civil site construction or working with site contractors is beneficial., • Familiarity with concrete work, including slabs, pours, formwork, precast, and concrete finishing., • Knowledge of concrete construction processes and safe handling of concrete materials., • Willingness to learn advanced techniques in core drilling, concrete cutting, and concrete removal., • Ability to follow directions, adapt to changing site conditions, and work as part of a field crew.Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
