Job Description Job Title: Production Associate IMMEDIATE HIRE & START Shift: First Shift Pay: $18 hour The Production Associate plays a hands-on role in supporting multiple manufacturing functions, including assembly, engraving, laminating, screen printing, and packaging. This position focuses on disassembling, modifying, and reassembling products, operating production equipment, and ensuring customer orders are produced accurately, efficiently, and on time. The role suits someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities • Disassemble, modify, and reassemble products according to specifications and quality standards., • Examine connections to verify correct fit of parts and subassemblies before and after assembly., • Set equipment controls to meet cutting specifications and ensure consistent output., • Engrave and print patterns, designs, etchings, trademarks, or lettering onto flat or curved surfaces of metal, glass, plastic, or paper items using hand tools or hand-held power tools., • Mount materials or workpieces onto production equipment securely and accurately., • Set up presses by hanging the proper roll of film, configuring the feeder and delivery, and setting the correct timing and tension required for each job., • Conduct visual inspections of all material stock and ink prior to printing to identify defects or noncompliance with job specifications., • Perform general production, assembly, packaging, machine operation, and inspection tasks as assigned., • Rotate between departments such as Assembly, Engraving, Laminating, Screen Printing, and Packaging based on production needs., • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area., • Work efficiently to meet production schedules and ensure orders are completed accurately and on time. Essential Skills • Hands-on experience in production, assembly, packaging, machine operation, or general labor., • Ability to operate and adjust production equipment, including presses and related machinery., • Ability to use hand tools and hand-held power tools for engraving and printing tasks., • Strong attention to detail when inspecting materials, connections, and finished products., • Ability to read, write, and understand English., • Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 4 hours at a time)., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly., • Ability to bend, reach, and stoop as needed to perform production tasks., • Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment., • Reliability and flexibility to move between different manufacturing functions as needed.Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garfield, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
