Job DescriptionJob Title: Shipping Associate Job Description The Shipping Associate supports outbound shipping operations, focusing exclusively on packing, inspection, documentation, and coordination of domestic and international shipments. This role manages shipments through major carriers, tracks orders using digital tools and internal systems, and ensures all outbound materials are processed accurately and on time in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities • Support outbound shipping operations only, ensuring all outgoing orders are processed accurately and on schedule., • Pack products securely and efficiently, following established guidelines to prevent damage during transit., • Inspect outbound shipments to verify accuracy of items, quantities, and packaging before release., • Prepare complete and accurate shipping documentation, including labels, packing lists, and carrier forms., • Coordinate shipments using FedEx, UPS, and DHL systems, selecting appropriate services based on requirements., • Handle both domestic and international shipments, following applicable processes and compliance requirements., • Track shipments using Google Suite tools and internal systems such as Zoho or similar platforms, updating records as needed., • Utilize shipping and logistics systems to create labels, schedule pickups, and monitor delivery status., • Maintain accurate records of shipments in Google Suite and MS Office (Excel, Word) to support reporting and traceability., • Collaborate with team members in manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environments to ensure smooth outbound workflow., • Apply knowledge of international shipping processes to prepare documentation and coordinate carrier requirements., • Follow ITAR compliance guidelines and company policies when handling and shipping materials., • Demonstrate consistent reliability and strong attendance to support a high-volume, time-sensitive shipping operation., • Adhere to all safety procedures and operational standards within the warehouse or manufacturing environment., • Support overtime needs after the regular shift and on weekends as required to meet shipping deadlines.Essential Skills, • Hands-on experience with shipping systems and processes, specifically FedEx, UPS, and DHL., • Proven experience in shipping and receiving, including packing, picking, and creating shipping labels., • Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or similar operational environment., • Experience with international shipping processes and documentation., • Familiarity with internal systems such as Zoho, Salesforce, or similar platforms for shipment tracking and order management., • Proficiency with Google Suite for tracking and documenting shipments., • Working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel and Word, for data entry and reporting., • Valid driver’s license., • Ability to meet ITAR compliance requirements., • Demonstrated reliability and strong attendance history in previous roles., • Ability to work 2nd shift hours and perform overtime after shift and/or on weekends as needed.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Shipping and logistics experience in retail, distribution, manufacturing, or warehouse environments., • Experience coordinating both domestic and international shipments using major carriers., • Comfort working with digital tools and multiple software platforms to manage shipping activities., • Strong attention to detail when inspecting shipments and preparing documentation., • Effective communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external carriers., • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume shipping operation., • Organizational skills to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.Why Work Here? Work Environment This position operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution-style environment. The work is hands-on and fast-paced, involving regular interaction with shipping systems, Google Suite, MS Office, and internal platforms such as Zoho or Salesforce. The initial assignment duration is 6 months, with the possibility of extension or conversion based on performance and business needs. Overtime is expected after the regular shift and on weekends to support high-volume shipping demands. The environment emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork while handling outbound shipments. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Culver City, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
