Instruction & Student Learning • Develop and deliver engaging lessons aligned with district curriculum and TEA standards, • Use diverse instructional strategies and technology to meet student needs, • Adapt materials and methods to support all learners, • Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback, • Prepare, administer, and grade assignments and assessments, • Maintain accurate attendance and grade records Classroom Environment & Student Support • Create a positive, structured, and welcoming classroom culture, • Establish and maintain clear expectations and routines, • Encourage curiosity, strong study habits, and enthusiasm for learning, • Teach social skills, responsible behavior, and conflict resolution, • Support students with academic or behavioral concerns and collaborate with campus specialists Communication & Collaboration • Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues, • Communicate student progress clearly and professionally, • Participate in team meetings, committees, and campus initiatives, • Support extracurricular or campus activities as assigned Professional Responsibilities • Engage in ongoing professional learning, • Stay current on instructional best practices, • Maintain reliable attendance and preparedness, including substitute plans, • Model professionalism, ethics, and district values Campus & Operational Support • Supervise educational aides or volunteers as assigned, • Safeguard students, materials, equipment, and facilities, • Assist with selecting instructional materials, • Coordinate field trips and student activities QualificationsRequired • Bachelor’s Degree, • Valid Texas Teaching Certificate, • Completion of an Educator Preparation Program, • Pass a background and fingerprint check Preferred Skills • Strong classroom management, • Effective communication, • Ability to engage diverse learners, • Proficiency with instructional technology Work Environment • Regular standing, walking, and classroom mobility, • Frequent use of computers and instructional technology, • Light to moderate lifting, • Occasional travel between campuses, • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced school environment Join a District That Invests in You Killeen ISD is committed to supporting educators who are passionate about helping students grow.
