Details\n \n • Day shift position with hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, scheduled Monday, Tuesday, and Friday\n, • 13-week travel contract at a hospital-based Operating Room\n, • Supports a broad surgical caseload including General Surgery, Orthopedics, GYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry\n, • Level III Trauma facility\n, • On-call is required and split among OR RNs, averaging 7 calls per 6-week period; weekday call runs 3:00 PM–7:00 AM, and weekend call consists of 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM)\n, • Holiday coverage is required\n, • EMR systems used: Medhost and PICIS\n, • No floating required\n, • Option to work 48 hours per week\n Requirements\n \n, • Active NM RN license or compact RN license required\n, • Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred\n, • Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date\n, • Minimum 2 years of OR experience required\n, • Experience in General Surgery, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry required\n, • Valid driver's license required\n, • US Social Security Number required\n, • No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months\n Additional Information\n \n, • Serves as the circulating nurse responsible for patient advocacy, safety, documentation, sterile field support, and workflow coordination throughout the intraoperative phase\n, • Responsibilities include surgical case preparation, equipment and supply management, specimen handling, medication administration, and multidisciplinary team coordination\n, • Collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, first assistants, and ancillary staff\n, • Hospital-laundered scrubs are provided\n, • Fingerprinting is required for all travelers working in New Mexico; this process can take several weeks\n, • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible\n, • Travelers who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position\n, • RTO requests must total less than one week for the duration of the contract\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-727476.
