The Position: We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager / Senior Manager to join our growing High Net Worth & Private Client Services practice in Phoenix. This is an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished tax professional who enjoys advising affluent individuals, trusts, estates, family-owned businesses, and closely held companies on sophisticated tax planning and wealth transition strategies. In this highly visible leadership role, you'll collaborate directly with clients and trusted advisors while mentoring team members, leading complex engagements, and helping shape long-term tax strategies that preserve wealth and maximize value. This position offers a clear path toward Senior Leadership, Director, and Partner while working alongside one of the industry's most respected private client tax teams. What You'll Do: • Manage complex tax compliance and consulting engagements for high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, estates, gift tax, partnerships, corporations, nonprofits, and closely held businesses., • Review sophisticated federal and state individual, fiduciary, estate, gift, partnership, corporate, and exempt organization tax returns., • Develop comprehensive tax planning strategies focused on estate preservation, wealth transfer, charitable planning, business succession, and multigenerational financial planning., • Analyze trusts, estates, ownership structures, and legal documents to identify tax efficiencies and planning opportunities., • Partner with attorneys, financial advisors, bankers, and family office professionals to deliver integrated planning solutions., • Conduct advanced tax research related to individual, fiduciary, trust, estate, and business taxation., • Serve as the primary advisor for key client relationships by delivering proactive, value-added planning and exceptional client service., • Mentor, coach, and develop Tax Seniors and Staff while reviewing technical work and supporting professional growth., • Manage engagement budgets, staffing, workflow, and deadlines while maintaining the highest quality standards., • Support business development initiatives through networking, client referrals, proposal development, and community involvement., • Stay current on changing federal and state tax legislation affecting private clients and business owners. Qualifications: Required • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field., • Active CPA license required (EA or JD also considered)., • 5+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience., • Strong experience with high-net-worth individual taxation, fiduciary, trust, estate, gift, partnership, and corporate tax returns., • Deep understanding of estate planning, wealth transition strategies, trust taxation, and IRS regulations., • Strong technical tax research and analytical skills., • Proven leadership experience managing client engagements and mentoring tax professionals., • Outstanding communication, client relationship management, and organizational skills., • Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. Preferred • Master's in Taxation (MST), LLM in Taxation, or advanced estate planning experience., • Experience serving family offices, private foundations, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals., • Business succession planning expertise., • Business development and networking experience., • Interest in advancing into Senior Leadership or Partner-track opportunities.
