Job DescriptionJob Title: Electrical Assembly TechnicianJob Description This role focuses on assembling and installing electrical components and wiring in a small warehouse environment. You will work at a dedicated station, following blueprints and schematics to build and inspect wire harnesses and related assemblies, ensuring high-quality, defect-free products. Responsibilities • Assemble and install electrical components and wiring according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions., • Position, align, and adjust electrical parts to facilitate proper wiring and assembly., • Examine completed assemblies and components for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards., • Perform detailed work with small wires, including crimping, soldering, and electronic assembly tasks., • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively for mechanical and electrical assembly work., • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly drawings to complete tasks accurately., • Maintain an organized and clean workstation throughout the shift., • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with tools, equipment, and electrical components., • Work consistently while seated for extended periods to complete fine, detailed assembly tasks., • Collaborate with team members and trainers to learn new processes and continuously improve assembly techniques.Essential Skills, • At least 1 year of assembly experience, preferably in electrical or mechanical assembly., • Good manual dexterity for handling small wires, components, and detailed assembly work., • Comfortable sitting for extended periods throughout the workday., • Ability to perform wiring and harness assembly tasks, including crimping and soldering., • Experience with electronic assembly and mechanical assembly processes., • Ability to read and follow blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams., • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for assembly work., • Attention to detail when examining assemblies for defects and ensuring quality., • Ability to keep pace with production requirements while maintaining accuracy., • Reliability in attendance and punctuality.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience working with wire harnesses and small electronic components., • Familiarity with soldering techniques for electronic assemblies., • Knowledge of basic mechanical principles related to assembly work., • Comfort working in a small warehouse environment at a dedicated workstation., • Willingness to learn new assembly processes and accept on-the-job training., • Ability to follow safety protocols when using hand and power tools.Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a small warehouse setting where you will have your own workstation and primarily work while seated throughout the day. The schedule is 1st shift, typically 5:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday with a 30-minute paid lunch, and the option to work either four 10-hour days or four 9-hour days plus 5 hours on Friday. You will use hand tools, power tools, and standard assembly equipment in a clean, organized area designed for detailed wiring and electronic assembly work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudsonville, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
