Job Description Location: Norfolk, VA Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Travel: Up to 25%, including CONUS and OCONUS travel Job Description: Trinity Global Consulting is seeking an Engineering Technician IV to provide technical drafting, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), engineering documentation, and configuration management support for Military Sealift Command engineering programs. The Engineering Technician IV will create, revise, maintain, and control engineering drawings, schematics, technical illustrations, and supporting documentation for vessel maintenance, modernization, repair, logistics, and lifecycle management activities. The position works closely with Government engineers, technical personnel, and project managers to ensure engineering documentation accurately reflects approved system configurations and complies with applicable drafting, quality assurance, and document control requirements. Duties May Include: • Prepare, revise, and maintain engineering drawings using AutoCAD or comparable CAD software., • Develop mechanical, electrical, structural, systems, and as-built drawings from engineering sketches, specifications, design concepts, and approved modifications., • Produce technical illustrations, diagrams, layouts, schematics, and other engineering documentation., • Review drawings and technical documents for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with Government drafting standards., • Update engineering documentation following approved Engineering Change Notices, Engineering Change Proposals, and other configuration changes., • Maintain drawing revision histories, configuration baselines, engineering files, and electronic document repositories., • Coordinate drawing updates with Government engineers, project managers, technical reviewers, and other stakeholders., • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, technical manuals, and design documentation., • Support engineering investigations, studies, surveys, maintenance activities, modernization efforts, and technical analyses., • Research and retrieve engineering records, technical data, drawings, and supporting documentation., • Prepare engineering document packages for Government review and approval., • Perform quality control reviews and identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, or required corrective actions., • Maintain, index, archive, reproduce, and retrieve electronic and hard-copy engineering records., • Protect controlled engineering documentation from unauthorized access or modification., • Respond to Government requests for drawings, technical documentation, document reproduction, and engineering data., • Support quality assurance audits, configuration management reviews, and documentation inspections., • Recommend improvements to drafting, document control, and engineering information management processes., • Assist with Standard Operating Procedure development and the implementation of new drafting technologies or engineering software., • Perform other related duties as assigned in support of contract and mission requirements. Requirements/Qualifications: • Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Design, Mechanical Design, Architectural Drafting, or a closely related technical discipline. An equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be considered., • Minimum five years of progressively responsible drafting, CAD, or engineering technician experience., • Demonstrated experience using AutoCAD or comparable engineering drafting software., • Experience producing, revising, and reviewing detailed engineering drawings and technical illustrations., • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, technical manuals, and design documentation., • Experience supporting engineering document control, drawing revision, and configuration management activities., • Experience working in an engineering, industrial, maritime, manufacturing, or similar technical environment., • Knowledge of engineering drafting principles, technical illustration, blueprint reading, and drawing standards., • Ability to analyze technical information, identify discrepancies, and produce accurate engineering documentation., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional., • Experience using electronic document management systems, engineering information systems, or digital drawing repositories., • Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, quality assurance skills, and written and verbal communication skills., • Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of an engineering team., • Eligibility to obtain and maintain required Government credentials, installation access, CAC, and security clearance, if required., • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, including local, CONUS, and OCONUS assignments., • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport., • Ability to perform prolonged computer and CAD workstation tasks; lift and carry materials weighing up to 30 pounds; climb stairs, ladders, and vessel gangways; navigate industrial and maritime environments; and wear required personal protective equipment.
